The White House

We stayed here for only one night but we will definitely be back! From the initial walk into the front door of this beautiful house, to us leaving it was nothing short of excellence.We almost felt as though we lived here ourselves as the vibe was so inviting and relaxed. We were lucky to have bedroom 5 which had an amazing view of the grounds and the vineyard. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Best night sleep I’ve had in ages. The peacefulness here is like a retreat from noise. The food was also beautiful. Locally sourced and seasonal. My steak was like butter! Breakfast, well again just excellent. We cannot wait to visit this rural retreat again. Thank you to all The White House staff.Jenn and Nick Hudson

Fantastic place. Location is a half hour walk from the town and beach and it's very tranquil and relaxed. I had a basic room but good tea and shower with a firm mattress (which is a personal preference). Everything I needed in the room. The staff and very polite and attentitive if you need them but otherwise leave you to get on which I thought was a brilliant way to host. Well stocked bar and lovely garden area. Food was also fantastic. Would highly recommend this place

Hired the hotel for 3 nights for a family celebration. We were extremely well looked after, yet it felt like the place was our own. The food was superb and lots of it. Nothing was too much trouble. Our guests were all impressed and had a fabulous time.

The White House is a hidden gem. A stunning house in a beautiful location, the decor and attention to detail is second to none. We got married there last weekend and it was simply amazing. Mark and his team went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We had a small family dinner on Friday and the main event on Saturday and everything was faultless thanks to all the hard work behind the scenes. Mark’s whole team are wonderful and so friendly but I have to give special thanks to Charlotte who was just brilliant from start to finish. Nick and Lorraine produced the most exquisite food at every meal - the guests haven’t stopped talking about it since! I really cannot recommend the White House enough and would encourage you to stay. We will be back for our anniversary next year and already can’t wait! Thank you Mark and team again, you ensured our wedding was magical and a day we will never forget.

We’ve stayed twice and it’s been fantastic both times. The old building has been renovated to the highest standard so it is warm and comfortable, the interior decoration is beautiful and everything is really clean. The owners and staff are very kind and we have felt very well looked after both times. Great location and lovely breakfast too!

Came and stayed one most enjoyable night out of three we chose on a short break and definitely the best of the best! Very clean, nicely appointed with friendly farmer leading a equally nice team set in glorious position just on fringes of Burnham Market - lovely lovely lovely - we will return for sure

I agree with everybody else giving 5/5 reviews to the White House. The food, the location, the decoration and cleanliness of the rooms are espectacular. I’m not sure if people have mentioned before but they even offer games like tenis, cricket, basketball to keep kids distracted. This is definitely going to be our place to stay from now on when we are in Norfolk. Thank you Mark and to the rest of the staff.

A gem of a place in the middle of nowhere made this the perfect place for a full weekend of family celebrations. The service was exceptional from start to end, the food was not only immense but also plentiful, and the grounds offered everyone plenty of ways to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. The best weekend for a very long time in the very best hotel I've had the chance in staying in. Thank you so much for an unforgettable break.

A fabulous hotel! Helpful friendly staff in an elegant 5 star setting. Beautiful walled garden with ample place to recline and relax in a tranquil setting. We were delighted with our stay and have already to booked to stay again.

The hotel is beautiful and in a really great location. The downstairs lounge, breakfast room and honesty bar are really very lovely, and the room was comfortable and spacious with a stunning bathroom. The recommendations given in the area are very thoughtful, and we had a great few days exploring the area.There are also little extras included that we really enjoyed - namely, a near constant supply of cookies and cake alongside the complimentary tea and coffee. The breakfast included was also very tasty, with a great range of options.However, there were a few improvements I would make:- The service itself is almost non-existent other than at mealtimes. Our room wasn’t cleaned on the first day, and was only cleaned the next day when we specifically asked whether we’d done anything wrong at breakfast, which I felt was quite unusual for a luxury hotel. Walking into the hotel, nobody was around, and you end up picking up the key yourself and letting yourself into your room - but it was so quiet it almost felt like you were breaking in to someone’s house! It would be nice if there was someone around to welcome you. I do generally prefer hands off service but this felt like it was pushed to the limit.- In the evenings, the breakfast area is turned into a restaurant. We can highly recommend the food, however, guests of the restaurant then ended up using the hotel lounge area which meant that we weren’t always able to. This was quite frustrating and it didn’t feel like we were prioritised as hotel guests.- Smaller points, but a larger selection of board games and robes provided in the rooms would have been lovely.Overall, we enjoyed our stay but the above are some general points to consider.
