Went tonight after phoning feeling I was having a mental breakdown. Staff very helpfulCalm relaxing setting and very welcoming

Rang and a female, don't forget it's a mental health place. A female said I am clogging the line. Rather absurd they said they like me there, further more one said I ought to work there as a piers. Banal they are after they know my suffering again those words saying they know I am having a tough time. Then I am clogging the line. Happy eater. Obviously her partner didn't bye her enough chocolate otherwise what excuse for her damming cutting remark.

Saddest time of my life at hahnemann house I used to think that people working in mental health must be caring otherwise why would they do their job. Sadly my experience hear has ruined my trust in services and those working in them... update I have gone through the complaint procedure as that's what thay fob people off with when thay wright a bad review. You will get off by a woman named Claire whom is unsuitable for a role in mental health. The good news for me is I finally saved enough for private and after two months I'm doing a lot better I have rebuilt relationships and acomplished more then I ever did with my Hellish 5 years with the tmhc thay were wrong about me I was ready for therophy " I just needed somone to give me a chance . I suggest to anyone that has issue with this abusive place skip the horrible complaints process and go over their heads ... write to your mp. Name and shame them on social media. I'm so sorry for anyone who is stuck their . I don't know how thay aren't ashamed of themselves edit I don't know if thay are trying to have a laugh with their reply but I did contact their complaints team thay wher as incompetent as the rest of the staff"

Terrible service! Psychiatric who i had couple appointment with. Cancelled on me 3 times, one time, left me in waiting room for nearly 30 mins.I then called up to discuss a appointment. I brought up complaint how i was given a phone call one evening of which i kindly explained I was in the kitchen cooking, just finished work and it was very bad time, pls call back. Reason for there call was to schedule an appointment they tried to continue to keep me on phone for a date of which i couldn't provide at the time which i thought was quite rude, then they finally let me get off phone and said they would call back but they didn't then they just sent letter days later and had booked me into an appointment anyway without even discussing and arranging convenient time for the both off us! Since i was working full time at the time. Since... im now discharged!Reception i just spoke to was incredibly rude in the sense he kept interrupting me and not letting me talk properly, then accused me off cursing / swearing when i infact most certainly did not then lo and behind then said im hanging up on you"Basically made up and lied about me cursing so that he can justify hanging up on me.Absolutely disgusting how the CMHT reception treat people especially ones potentially vulnerable suffering all kinds off mental health."

After reaching my lowest point on New Year’s Eve 2018 I was admitted to Hahnemann. The staff are amazing I am beginning to see a future for myself now after 25 years of mental hell. Thamkyou so much

They are very racist and very rude.They injected me with a long term antipsychotic depot three times during about 11 years. First they injected me for 1 year and half(equivalent of 65 weeks actually)with highest dose(paliperidon 150(8months)30 hours akatisia side effect per week(acute restlessness)which is most bad effect of antipsychotics-50mg) and after 1 year that they stop it, they inject me again with middle dose of Clopixol(300mg weekly(2months)-250mg fortnightly) for up to 44 weeks, 12 to 4/5 hours akatisia side effect per week. And 6 months after they stop it again they inject me with Clopixol depot with lowest dose, 200mg 9 weeks(weekly) which I had average 6 hours Akatisia side effect per week-and then reduce it every 6 months(23-28 weeks average )up to 130 weeks by second opinion doctor certificate which I received-175mg 6 months weekly-200mg fortnightly-175mg fortnightly-175 every 3 week which in first 12 weeks it has 1 hour and 45 minutes Akathisia per week but when dose is adjusting it will be 1 hour and after 18 weeks of 175mg every 3 weeks it(Akathisia) will be 30 minutes per week average-175mg every 4 weeks(but they say that they are injecting me 600mg Clopixol every 4 weeks which is not true) it does not Akathisia side effect(not in first week and it has 4 hours mild Akathisia)which 150 mg every 4 weeks is equivalent of 0%BNF and dosage 125mg(per week) and lower doesn’t have Akatisia side effects. Me 5 times admitted to hospital, first time 1 month in 2013 and then 7 months in 2017 and I was in CTO for 1 year after that, and 2 months in 2020(January) and 3 days in 2021(February) and 3 months in 2021(August) and I am detained since January 2020 until now(October 2023) and Dr decided to renew my CTO for another year(3 years on CTO) but I am sure I will be discharge for ever after 6 months.

Kind, empathetic people who will do their best to help you in any way they can. A safe place to come to in times of crisis. I felt truly listened to and felt comforted after coming here. Thank you for all you do.Please note, as with all NHS services, they are short staffed so please be kind and patient. Also - remember that most people will only post a review when they have something to complain about, so bare this in mind when reading other reviews.

Terrible!!!! Was diagnosed after having one half an hour appointment for them to discharge me with no help and no explanation why. A year and a half later and they still haven't offered me any help regarding my mental state which had hospitalised me the day before my initial assessment. Having worked in CMHT departments in other areas of the country doing referrals I know that someone, somewhere was not doing there job. If you can get help from other services in other areas I would highly recommend contacting them before being neglected by the CMHT department in bournemouth hahnemann House. I am currently in crisis and all they do is fob you off and say that they will get you help but don't. Please keep in mind that all of this happened seven months prior to the covid outbreak.

Thank you to the reception staff who are polite and understanding.I have found mental health services in the past to be the opposite of this.Thank you for working hard to help me in difficult times.

They did help me with my diagnosis but recommended me to some charity that cant help . so beware once you get you medication they will discharge you if you want 1 to 1 help id go to steps to wellbeing if you are looking for 1 to 1 chat. Or another place entirely
