We called looking to book in straight away after being let down by another hotel with no notice. From the word go, Jo was very helpful. She said she would have the room ready in 30 minutes, which she did and the room itself was lovely. Jo said she would put an extra bed in the room to accommodate all four of us, so I was worried it may be cramped, but it wasn't. There was a four poster bed, a single and the extra (full sized) fold up bed, two chairs in the bay window and another at the dressing table, plus bedside tables and double wardrobe, yet still ample room to move about. All this with a large bathroom as well, all of which were immaculatelyclean and tidy. A very comfy room and great nights sleep by all before a choice of breakfasts that could be purchased. We opted for cereal, toast and a well presented and well cooked full English breakfast. All in all, a very good place to stay that we would whole heartedly recommend and will happily use again next time we stay in Chester.

Stayed here a few weeks ago on a trip to UOC, and it was a great little place to hunker down for the night. I spent most of my time on this trip out and about, exploring the city, but for sleeping or having some downtime, it was a nice little hotel. The room was a good size for the price. The only negative was a bit of drain smell if I flushed the toilet, but I got around that by opening the bathroom window and closing the door. (I was in Room 3, if the owners wouldn't mind taking a look)I will say is that it was quite considerably out of the way of the action, but realistically, that's my fault for severely underestimating the amount of walking I'd be doing.I didn't really see much of the owners during my stay, but that's because I was out quite a bit, so I didn't really expect to. The interaction I had with them over the phone and when I first arrived was rather pleasant, however. For the price you'd pay, I absolutely recommend Kilmorey Lodge

We stayed here last weekend, for a Christmas trip to Chester. It was easy to find and space to park. We were in room 1, which was lovely. The beds (a double and a single) were comfy, with plenty of pillows. The room was decorated to a high standard. Plenty of tea/coffee etc. The bathroom was clean too. All was great. The owner was friendly and helpful too - recommending places to eat and visit. After travelling down country lanes to visit Chester, we found the car had a flat tyre on our last morning, but the owner made sure we were OK, as well as saying we could stay in the room as long as needed. Thank you. Would definitely recommend/stay again. Bargain price - especially so close to Christmas!

I recently stayed here for ten nights, place clean, and bedding good, daily cleaning of room,by a very nice lady who was very helpful. I was surprised to see such nice complimentary toiletries, also on tray in room, coffee, tea, and also bottles of water, which I was for.pleased for. The bus stop into Cheshire Oaks outlet and into Liverpool, we’re just 3 minutes away. I would love to stay here if I could again,. I cannot praise the welcome I received explaining everything to me.and help quickly given if needed. After an extremely bad experience in a neighboring B& B this has restored my faith in B&Bs in Chester. Many thanks.

My first time staying in a guest house and just what I expected a guest house to look like. I am OCD and can't fault it. Very clean, tidy and smart. Everything that is needed for a night stay. The owners are welcoming and were helpful. My only niggle is on a personal level, the bed was a little uncomfortable but my wife is 29 weeks pregnant and can't get comfy but that's just us. There is only three spaces outside but we got parked no problem. A little expensive considering hotels in the area are cheaper but in my opinion, you pay for what you get and this was cheap for the cleanliness and smart decor. Overall very nice stay and would recommend. Thank you
