I came to Sally Browns with high hopes and wasn't disappointed . It provides a very stand out retro look and furniture to accompany the Ska and Soul vibe of the place, and as someone passionate about both genre's of music I LOVED it. Like other premises on North Parade its like a Cafe Bar , with food and a small stage for their live music events on select evenings . We ordered the home made Fish Finger butties with chips . It was just after midday , and soon filled up with punters -a lot of whom like myself and a mate were heading to the Bradford City home game with Mansfield. The food took a while but it was Delicious and generous portion when it came. Best of all was the music loop which included early revival reggae / Ska , such as The Techniques , The Parragons , Derrick Harriet and the WONDERFUL Phyllis Dillion. Later it was 2 Tone bands . Owner Steve found time for a chat about surviving the impact of COVID lockdown and Bradford can be proud to have such a unique venue and it deserves your support. Keep the Faith .

Seen recently that they've opened up as a cafe too. First time here and had a great vegan breakfast. Great that you cater to vegans. Fantastic quality of items and amazing value for money. Coffee is lovely too. Staff are all friendly and welcoming. Will be back.

Went here late on a Tuesday night with a work's 'do' wanting to stay out as late as possible. As it was a quiet night most other local venues closed early but Sally Browns told us as long as we were buying they would be serving. Although there was no live music the barman made every effort to make sure we all had a good time, setting up space for us to have a dance and keeping our party going until closing time! Beautifully air conditioned on the hottest day of the year so we felt lovely and cool the whole time. One member of our party was a little excitable but the barman treated him fairly and respectfully while helping him to stay safe. At one point we did notice the barman filming us and taking pictures on his phone, it would have been nice to be asked about this. I didn't mind but it did make some members of our party uncomfortable. Definitely hoping to go again and see some live music, very happy with our experience. Thanks Sally Browns!

Sally Browns is one of a kind! I’ve visited lots of great Soul & Ska bars across Europe but Sally Browns has one of the best atmospheres and a really warm & welcoming feel. They have an excellent vinyl collection and lots of diverse, world class acts on the regular!Beer & cocktails are brill too!

Great little gem. Really glad they started doing food too, beating every other cafe in town. About as cheap as the other cafes nearby but deliver a much better quality product and experience.Nice and approachable staff who will always try and sort you out. Chances are you'll bump into the owner and have a chat with him too, which is always good.Top quality decor and atmosphere with ska, reggae and rocksteady on the speakers every time of day and photographs celebrating that culture.Really good for gigs too. I've attended a few and enjoyed them all. Good variety of obscure and alternative bands that maybe wouldn't get much shine anywhere else. The subculture lives! Get on it.
