New Mills Trout Fishing Park

We had a fishing party for my six year old son here last week. The location is just off the A69 and easy to find. There is plenty of parking, although don't park near to the big lake as you'll get your car hit by an angler casting off.The staff were very helpful and patient, all equipment was provided and they made sure my Son caught a fish. The kids had a good time, although there was a lot of standing around and I wouldn't recommend it for smaller children. The adults enjoyed it too and it was reasonably priced.Overall it was good. Only criticisms I could make were that the food could have been better, the pizzas being a bit soggy and the chicken drumsticks didn't look appetizing. I would recommend bringing your own party picnic boxes.Also the path round the pond is lined with gravel on top, which is missing in places which meant it was a bit slippery. I lost my footing and fell over, as did at least one other adult.

Yet another amazing stay at Newmills Wigwam Park in Brampton. As it was our anniversary weekend, the Newmills crew made our wigwam a delight to enter, with bubbly on ice, a card & the fairy lights all glowing. Lovely surprise to start off our stay. Fantasic place to spend some 'downtime'! Stayed here for a weekend in July and the location is simply stunning and the owners cannot do enough to make your stay as plesant as possible.The fishing lakes are amazing, well priced and tuition is available if, like us, you've never done it before!Then theres the party barn with games, books and DVDs for the kids (and adults) and a FANTASTIC fairy trail around the site to keep everyone busyThe wigwams are lovely, clean and warm, with stunning views and a great sunset! Each comes with a fire pit and you get firelighters and matches for free - we brought a log 'pack' for £10 and it easily lasted both nights - it would have lasted at least one more night too.We genuinely loved our time here, will definitely be back, and if I could rate it more than 5 stars, I would!!

A gem of a place. Top quality fishing, awesome instructor, well stocked shop. Ideal place to get the kids into fishing, or spend a few happy hours learning to fly fish.

We visited today as our son/daughter-in -law and grand kids were there. Nice area. I borrowed a rod and caught 2 Rainbow Trout! Brilliant. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience for 1st time kids fishing. My 9yr old loved it and even better having our catch for dinner. Staff are so friendly and very helpful as well. Definitely worth a visit.

Great staff and fishing.Excellent for kids as plenty to do.Brilliant for those wanting to catch their first fish or those wanting to fly fish on the trout master lake here.Highly recommended if you are wanting to learn to fly fish with a lesson from fly fishing expert Bob available.Varying depths and if the water is running clear you can see the fish below the surface.Wigwams also available to stay here and cafe on site providing really nice food at a decent price.
