After initial problems regarding an earlier visit where I reviewed it badly I am happy to update my experience. After today's visit hindsight is a wonderful thing. If only we had stayed knowing the kitchen would be open things would have been so much better. Today we ate and drank here. The meals were excellent, very good value for money. It's a long time since I struggled to finish a pub meal but their steak and ale pie nearly did it for me. All freshly cooked and piping hot. Good choice of real ales including Old Tom on hand pump. Nicely refurbished environment makes it a good experience. Will be returning in the future.

Mid week and didn't fancy cooking, so we tried this place on our way home, pleasantly surprised. It's a little bit quiet but genuinely lovely traditional pub food and a lovely setting.

Just been here for a beautiful meal. Food is amazing, would highly recommend to anyone. Dog and children friendly. Staff are superb, very friendly and welcoming. Very pleasant place to spend our evening, also finished off with a few games of pool. Will definitely be returning customers. Thank you for your hospitality.

After a lovely walk around the reservoir we were a bit peck-ish so decided to have some food here. We had our 2 dogs with us which wasn't a problem and the staff member even brought out a bowl of water for them. We ordered food & drinks and only waited a short time before it was served. I had a burger & chips which was really good and the other half had half a chicken & chips which she enjoyed too. Really enjoyed it in there staff really welcoming and friendly and the food was lovely, just what we needed after a long walk.

The food was of a good standard. The menu could have had a little more choice as the options for vegans or vegetarian was limited.There was only one staff member front of house when we visited and she did a great job although it was hard to get additional drinks when we went to the bar as she was tricky to find.

Had/ having a lovely meal. Grace is so attentive and all the girls behind the bar are absolutely brilliant!!! Cannot rate enough!! Thank you especially for the birthday fudge cake xx
