I Originally left a 5 star review.Went for puncture repair. They broke my tyre sensor. Promised to replace. Took them 4 days to get one. Went back to get it fitted. I asked and checked that this was a genuine part they was replacing. YES. It is a genuine expensive part.Following day. Tyre pressure low. Pumped it up. Next day. Low pressure again. Returned to garage. There puncture repair had failed. So they refilled told me they had now drilled hole much bigger to plug. If fail again I would need new tyre. Told them that be your fault for failing to fix. Was told they wouldn't pay for a tyre so let's hope it doesn't leak. Mechanic then told me. They had spent enough money finding a generic replacement and wouldn't pay to replace my tyre that they had knackered.Today I went to toyota and paid 241.00 to get my sensor replaced with a genuine part. And yes there was a cheap copy inside my tyre. So they lied to me. Will they cover my costs. ?? I very much doubt it.

On a recent holiday to the Clyro/Hay on Wye area, I had the misfortune to pick up a nasty puncture. The owner of the cottage we were renting recommended Ian Jones Tyres to us, so gave them a quick call the following morning and was told to pop in whenever we were able. Popped along mid morning (at a steady < 50mph due to space saver doughnut), to a quite busy outfit. As I was parking up, a very attentive young lady popped over and was about to ask if we were ok, but spotted the doughnut and pointed me straight to a free bay. Technician soon had the tyre off, wasn't sure if it was repairable, but luckily it was.. however he was surprised to find an entire 5 inch screwdriver bit in my tyre!!!. But managed the plug the tyre without any issues. As he was popping the tyre back on, my eagle eyed wife spotted something shiny on the other rear tyre, turns I'd also picked up a (boring) nail too. Tech sorted that too. In and out in less than an hour, did the leak tests in front of me and made sure I was happy with the repairs. Bill came in.. Mouth open moment... both tyre repairs cost about the same as one where I live. Gobsmacked. Really friendly crowd. The technician reassured me if the repair wasn't safely achievable it would be a new tyre, I've traveled home and no issues. What a great place.

Had to get all four tyres replaced so figured might as well get MOT done at same time. Anticipated it failing but the garage were able to accommodate fixing the problems the next day, and the retest. All reasonably priced; friendly, helpful staff, and I've already booked the car in again to fix another couple of jobs that I've been meaning to get done.

Broke down on the morning in Hay. RAC finally turned up at gone 5pm to tow us to to Ian Jones, who had kindly agreed to wait for us and fix the car, despite his closing time being 5.30pm, and it being a Friday evening.So, so thankful to him as we were on holiday in the area and miles away from our accommodation.Good job, friendly and efficient service, and no extra charge.Thankyou so much!

Friendly, professional service as ever

Fantastic service from Ian Jones Tyres this week. Got a puncture at the end of a day. Took the car into the garage the next morning. When they took the wheel off they discovered that the tyre definitely needed to be replaced. They managed to order, receive and fit the tyre that morning which meant the planned afternoon travel could go ahead. The whole team were helpful and friendly from first contact, through explaining, to paying. Thank you!
