M&S Foodhall

M&S food itself was fine but BEWARE THE PARKING FINES. I had assumed this was a normal supermarket car park, but unbelievably you need to pay to park here and the signage is atrocious/invisible. There is no signage in or around M&S stating that you need to pay to park and I have now found myself dealing with a £100 fine. This country.

Absolutely love this Marks and Spencer, lots of foods to choose from freshly baked breads and cakes. Nice wide aisles to get round. Pleasant helpful staff if you require anything. A real place for all your shopping whether you want to buy fresh or frozen.

Great size food store, friendly staff and well laid out

Poor use-by/sell-by dates. With all the hype I was expecting an M&S Foodhall which was fully stocked and hoping for freshly made salads/burritos/rotisserie like at Handforth but maybe a larger version. Didn't even have a salad bar just the usual prepacked salads found all over. Nothing special about this so will be sticking to Handforth-Dean as they do a really nice salad bar (though it used to be out of this world until they cut back to save money) If anyone from M&S is reading this the old salad bar was amazing with all the bowls of freshly made salads but sadly it has been down scaled . I was also blown away at how rude the lady at the bakery was today when a customer asked for a bigger bag. The poor customer was belittled and it was not the customer service expected. I was stunned at how rude the staff member was!I was going to ask her something but did not want to enter into an arguement!

M&S are amazing, I adore this shop and highly recommend it to all for top quality food, beautiful flowers and great coffee.However, I won't return to the cafe in the large M&S in Manchester, because I don't appreciate queuing for fifteen minutes, and the decor and appearance of the cafe don't look very attractive or particularly pleasant and inviting.

Good selection of food and drink. So much more variety than hazel grove. Very open aisles, so there is plenty of room with the trolley

Nice sized shop with lovely friendly staff

I have visited twice now and have enjoyed both experiences. The vegan selections are not in bountiful supply yet [hence four out of five stars]; but definitely getting better. Good quality fresh produce. Nice selection of wines and bread(s). The store is a tad on the cold side, so all those on blood-thinners...put another layer on.

Visited store today nice layout and well stocked. However stock is not being rotated properly as lots of fresh items had yesterday's date. Early days I know but we need longer dates on all products. Bakery counter was pretty chaotic. Will visit again in the near future and see how it improves.

Staff unwilling to help. To fulfill an event commitment, was despatched to buy 20 boxes/ pouches of white wine, all wine dept was being reorganised, and I was told that it was too heavy to get to where pouches where stored. Hello Tesco.
