About the Business

Blidworth Woods | Forestry England | Located near the southern section of Sherwood Forest, Blidworth Woods consists of pine woodland and open heath, providing the perfect place for walking opportunities and a range of other outdoor activities. Refreshments are available in the cabin at Longdale Lane car park. It's the perfect place to refuel after your woodland adventure. Blidworth Woods can be accessed from two car parks: Longdale Lane is a large car park with access to three waymarked walking trails, including a surfaced easy access trail. There is an information panel which shows a map of the wood to help you explore the wider forest. Blidworth Bottoms car park is a smaller car park, from which you can access the blue walking trail. There is a horse parking corral (for permit holders on a first come first served basis) and an information panel to guide you. Dog walking Dogs are welcome at Blidworth Woods but as this wood is used extensively by horse riders on the horse trail (by permit only) throughout the year, we ask you to please keep your dogs under control at all times.

Great wood of mixed trees and plant with a number of trails through it. One path covered and flat, most are earth paths, narrow and slightly rough in a few places. Easy walking with a few light slopes. Good place to have an hour walk with family, friends and dogs.

A great variety of walks and grades of trails that are popular for dog walks. The main walks are waymarked but there are countless other tracks available too. Highly recommended come rain or shine.

Well pathed, though you can go off into the woods through small muddy trails and find your self lost if you like. Lots of free parking space, a car park on either side. Sometimes a coffee van is van in the car park. Routes ranging from 0.5 to 4 miles. Though you can just go anywhere you like really, there is a bit of a path/road that goes straight down the middle. As long as you know how to find that you can never get truly lost. But you can very much go deep into the woods. No facilities/toilets
