Contacted 1st October 2018. Quotation arrived three days later which I accepted. Car collected on a low loader 17th October, with a telephone call advising they would be arriving in 30 minutes..arrived exactly on time and car returned in absolutely pristine condition 18th October at 1600 hours, with a telephone call advising they would be delivering. The bill was less than that quoted which was amazing.What a great company and it is rare to find such integrity these days. Thank you Sowton Body Repairs and I was delighted to be referred to you by BMW, which car you so perfectly put back to it's new condition.It is only four weeks old with less than 700 miles on the clock, so I was delighted to have it back so quickly!! Thank you.

Appalling! Our car was with them an excessive amount of time, we were constantly having to chase the repairs. They excelled themselves though…….our car is a prestige, high performance BMW which was test driven at speeds in excess of 100mph, unbeknownst to the garage it had a tracker! This was proven and reported to the insurance company. Will NEVER use or recommend this garage to anyone ever.

I was impressed from the very first contact by phone. Friendly, helpful, efficient. Arranged a courtesy car and was expecting an old runabout with the company name on the side. We got an immaculate brand new Mini Cooper S. The work on my Volvo XC60 was completed on time, to an excellent standard and the car had been fully valeted. The customer service from start to finish was first class. Thank you.

** FAO Body shop manager ** Please call me regarding my Polestar 2 that you currently have in for a minor nearside front repair, I have had to contact you in this manner due to emails not being answered and when I call for a progress update I'm told question mark over the wiring loom" When the car was estimated it was obvious that the loom behind the front bumper had been slightly damaged so why wasn't the required part ordered at the time along with the other components when the car was booked in for repair ? Please contact me with an update and hopefully a completion date (For your information the original incident happened 18/01/22) We are now 04/04/22."

I am so lucky that I was privileged to meet Richard at this Motor Body Repairs Workshop after being recommended by Steve.I unfortunately had a deep dent on my car.From the onset I was impressed by Richard who assessed my car meticulously and gave me a detailed plan of action followed in writing by email. All documentations were submitted by the the garage without any hassle.True to his words, everything progressed accordingly.When I received my car it was in pristine condition even better than showroom standards.The car was completely clean and polished with a gleaming shine.The interiors was incredibly clean.May I take the opportunity to recommend all future users to try this garage first before going elsewhere.It is your right to have a garage of your choice even though your insurance provider may dissuade you.Thank you Richard and the team and congratulation on voting being the best Body Repairs among your peers.

First visit through work,slight misunderstanding on arrival, but ended okay. Delivered a vehicle for repair

As Westerly BMW approved garage, please don’t use. Took our BMW for repair after Westerly recommended them so thought, they must be good! How wrong was I. Car returned with black trim different colour to side not damaged. Alloy wheel still badly damaged even though it was right beside the damage (normal wear and tear! Really!!). Photos taken of damage literally took 2 mins, how you can assess anything in that time. No response to my question as to why they didn’t consult my Insurance Company re different colour of trim. Disgraceful shoddy service from a so called professional service! I am sure not one of them would have been happy with this type of service and I had to make all the phone calls. Will advise Westerly to rethink who they recommend.

Excellent communication from the outset with text messages confirming appointments and estimating completion dates. Courtesy car was small but practical for our needs. All Covid safe, non contact, visible efforts made to ensure risks minimised by staff who were friendly throughout. Work completed needed a couple of tweaks which necessitated a further visit which was inconvenient as during working hours. The end result was very pleasing, though I had hoped that the extra payment for external cleaning would have removed some of the minor scratches but apparently they were too deep.

We used Sowton Motor Body repairs for a deep scratch repair and damaged bumper. After an initial issue with the repair, they did everything they could to accommodate us in order to have the repair rectified and did an excellent job of the repair. All round very professional, friendly and excellent communication throughout. I would highly recommend Sowton Motor Body Repairs and if needed again, I will definitely be going back to them!

They have worked on two of my cars now, and both times I was very happy with the result. The latest time was excellent. The fit of the parts after the repair was as good as the factory. I would highly recommend, especially for a car enthusiast, or if you want a high quality job. They were also the 2nd cheapest out of the 4 places I got quotes. (Had to get quotes to make a claim for money back elsewhere, I wouldn’t bother, I would take it straight to Sowton body repair)
