Cracking pub serving lovely food and well kept beer. Landlord & landlady nice & friendly so too their lovely staff. One to revisit next time we stay at the campsite down the road or if passing.

The Cayley Arms
Returned again this September after a lovely 2 night stay last year. Our visit did not disappoint. The rooms are lovely, clean, extremely comfortable and contain everything that you would need. The breakfasts are delicious and freshly cooked and our hosts, Tim and Becky, were so hospitable. We also dined in the pub and the food was excellent. The pub also offers a decent range of traditional Yorkshire ales. Just be aware that if you stay on a Tuesday night, the pub is closed but we were given a list of good local places to eat and chose an Indian restaurant in Pickering which we can highly recommend.The Cayley Arms is well situated for visiting all that North Yorkshire has to offer, the coast and the beautiful countryside and moors. We really enjoyed our short stay and will be returning in the future.

The Cayley Arms
Have driven past this lovely pub/hotel several times when on holiday and finally got round to visiting. What an absolutely delightful place. The garden with a small stream is picturesque and the welcome is warm and friendly. Had a delicious meal, nothing too much trouble and generous portions. Everywhere is fresh and clean, the toilets are a joy to behold (always a good sign). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and look forward to returning when we're next in Yorkshire.

Had a nice meal here served by delightful waitress who was run off her feet. However the whole experience was tainted by the hostess whose barked, negative remarks and orders that made us feel like unwelcome scum. Won't be returning.

A lovely hotel, extremely well run by the owners Tim & Becky. Clean, warm, and welcoming. Excellent food. Great location to explore North Yorkshire towns and coast.

The service was great the food left a little to be desired I started with the Mac and cheese starter which was relatively bland and often felt I was just eating pasta.The main course was steak and ale pie which was a very good portion but it felt as though the pie was cooked separately from the steak and then added after the fact, the steak was quite dry and I'd have liked more than a thimble full of gravy.The dessert I chose profiteroles, I appreciate it's homemade but for the price and how simple they are I'd have expected more than 4.Overall I believe some improvements could be made and a little more value for money.

Excellent Sunday lunch in a beautiful garden next to a stream. Food was cooked perfect, not stood on a hot plate for ages. Very friendly staff too. Highly recommended

Excellent food and service. Can strongly recommend. We had the evening meal certainly up to usual top class standard. Can always guarantee an excellent meal.
