1 Mint Drive - 12 Apartments, Zen Apartments, Great for Group Bookings

The apartment is impeccably clean. Rooms are specious with fully equipped kitchen.A place well worth the money.The only minus was the lift was not working. We stayed on the third floor it was not easy climbing up the stairs with kids.

We asked for 2 last minute apartments after being disappointed somewhere else and Zen were fantastic at letting us see the apartment before we booked it. Gave us a great price and the area was secure with great parking. Very friendly and reasonable. Apartment itself was clean and tidy. Would definitely stay again :)

Booked this apartment for my daughter and her friends to celebrate her 21st birthday. Good location, secure gated area, parking available although a little tight. Great 2 bed apartments with everything you would need ,very clean.

Just came back home after having to stay at Mint Drive for around 3 months due to work in our own flat which meant me and my friend needed temp accommodation and unfortunately ended up here. I don’t even know where to start - this has got to be the worst place in Birmingham to live and I’m not even exaggerating. So the management are absolutely no help and very condescending. Security let anyone and everyone in and when you have an issue nothing is done. People have no consideration for noise/ parking/ absolutely nothing. Not to mention you will not get any natural sunlight in the flat as it’s so closed off and all you have a view of is brick. If you’re upstairs you can hear EVERYTHING. You can hear when people are going up and down and you can hear the lift. I am so relieved to be back home after staying in this awful rental for what felt like forever. Not worth the money whatsoever.

Having been frequent users of airbnb, I can confidently say I've never had such a stressful experience. I was rung the night before our stay rather late and was told there were complications with our booking and so we will be given an upgraded apartment which was annoying because of how late we were told. This already had alarm bells ringing. Then the next day I was sent an email only to be told that we were being downgraded again. This is hours before we were due to travel. The apartment block is also hidden so if you're arriving after dark, good luck finding it. Having arrived late after work, we had gone to bed hoping for a good rest but we were woken up at 7.30am with the fire alarm going off. This had continued for a very long 6 hours and no one  including the fire department could do anything about it as allegedly they could not get in touch with the owner who had the keys to the electrical cupboard. The security guard had also given us a lacklustre response stating it was just probably someone cooking and we can go back in. After complaining to Bella about our awful experience, she had promised a full refund if we would like to leave on the day and find someplace else to stay. This seemed Like the least they could do so we agreed. We had booked another place only to find that we'd been refunded only £82 out of the £250 We paid. Bella then rings us to advise that she would like to authorise the full refund but airbnb will not allow this. We spoke to atleast 3 airbnb representatives, including a condescending case manager called Ralph who didn't care to hear our complaint and instead talked over us and quoted" policies as an excuse to not give us the full refund and would not let us speak to anyone else. Apparently airbnb doesn't care about its customers no matter how bad an experience they've had. Quite frankly

Booked a 2 bedroom apartment for a business stay. The day before the stay, the property decided they didn't have the apartment we had booked 6 days prior. They said they had two separate 1 bedroom apartments, but we would have to pay extra for that... even though the whole situation was not our fault. When I challenged the additional cost, I was met with that's not going to happen". Lovely customer service when they were at fault."

Never again will I stay at any of there locations, extremely rude owner, unprofessional, unexperienced landlord out there to Rob your money and take your deposit claim with unreasonable grounds for deduction for breaking House rules! I stayed at the Chester Road, Erdington, Birmingham House overnight as I just flown into UK on Business trip & to visit friends and relatives, arrived late evening so was kind of hungry so asked some friends to bring over some food as I have special dietary requirements, friends arrived around 12pm got constant messages from owner that House rules were being broken I explained to her but she insisted that she will come over and evict me with her goons if I let anyone in, to my surprise I was kicked out 1am with my family and my personal items thrown out for breaking House rules. Now she's withholding my deposit. I will take legal action on Zen living. Please be aware that these people are very unprofessional and you will be constantly looked by big brother CCTV

Apartment 133 Mint Drive, Birmingham: Spacious but too noisy with people partying, arguing and shouting throughout the night, Unfortunately the block is not sound proof: you can hear everything outside even when windows are shut. You can hear every step of the people in the apartment above who walk around every 2-5 minutes throughout the night; the floor above squicks loudly with each of their steps as they walk around; we couldn't sleep the whole night. In addition, the bedroom window blinds do not cut out the bright street lights from outside into the bedrooms making it very difficult to fall asleep. Therefore, if you love your sleep, don't book to stay here! Lastly, there is a surveillance camera pointing directly at the door, so make sure you are decently dressed when you open the door, you never know who is watching!

In the apartment there was no lift. The heating didn't work (for those few cold nights).The roads inside are so small. They make out it's so luxury though. I feel sorry for anyone who has to live there.Imagine coming off a long flight and having to take suitcases up three flights of stairs. And to add insult to injury, they give you a 'luxury' air bed and there isn't even enough space for it. Who ways to go on holiday and sleep on an air bed???You would naturally call someone. Only they didn't answer calls or emails.One star is very generous!

Stayed here over the weekend, (24th & 25th) the apartment was nice but we were meant to be in a ground floor flat, turned out we were put on the third floor. Doesn’t realistically sleep 6 more of a comfortable 4 with two small double beds. Was meant to be able to check in at 3 come 3:30 the room still wasn’t ready. Have since asked when my security deposit will be returned she hasn’t replied in the last 36 hours. WiFi is terrible and no Netflix on the telly as the book says. ( had to log on to own account).Would probably stay again but would expect a lot more next time.
