Oh my word...don't be fooled by its modest frontage, this is the BEST Chinese food around. I was recommended China City by a friend and I can see why. The service is outstanding for a start, (Andrew, I think his name is?) is so friendly and professional, but any of the staff can't do enough for you. Then there's the food. Every dish I've tried has been amazing. I recommend the prawn crackers for starters, they're different to any I've eaten elsewhere. The sweet and sour chicken is to die for, really crispy and tasty. All of the dishes come with generous portions. One rice or noodles is enough for two. The price is very reasonable too. I'm not on commission and I don't know the owners, I just love the food! I'm said I discovered it so late as I'm moving out of the area soon, but I will be sure to visit when I return. Honestly, give these guys a try. They're cash only at the moment but there's a Tescos around the corner with a cash machine. Well worth the visit.

First time ordering from here. I can say it’s one of the best Chinese take aways I have had. Delicious food. Polite staff. Very soft rice and noodles. Sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style was very nice. Everything was cooked perfectly and not greasy. Would definitely eat here again. 100% recommend you try here.

I’m a regular user of the takeaway service, mostly it’s ok, not brilliant but ok, the pork and duck isn’t very good quality and it isn’t trimmed of the fat very well, so I stopped ordering either of those. But after tonight I won’t be using them at all ever again. I placed an order at 7 o’c, at 8:30 it still hadn’t arrived so I rang them and was told it’s on it’s way, this was a lie because I started writing this review at 9:30 and it still wasn’t here. I tried ringing several times but it was constantly engaged so I’m guessing they’d taken the phone off the hook. That’s no way to treat a regular customer that always gives a tip is it. Very disappointing. I’ll be spending my hard earned cash somewhere else from now on.

Best tasting Chinese food in Walton-on-the-Naze and west of Colchester, modest frontage hiding very good chinese food to dine in. Would highly recommend.

Great tasting food lots of choice on the menu that you dint normally seePrawn toast are different to everywhere else but in avery good way 10/10The big bowl noodle soups are amazingI could go on but just give it a try you wont be dissapointed

The best Chinese food around! This is the most hardworking family run business I’ve encountered, all to ensure that you are well fed and satisfied.Great fresh homemade food with authentic taste. If something isn’t on the menu the kitchen staff are more than accommodating and will do their best to make you the dish you desire.Frankly 5 stars is doing this establishments an injustice.

Seriously excellent food! All the dishes were prepared authentically and with fresh ingredients. Dim sums are handmade by the owner and never from frozen. Great service and also now a wine selection! A gem in the local town.
