Norfolk St. Bakery

A brief glance in the window was all it took for me to go in. The assortment of brownies are absolutely wonderful, and I would highly recommend stopping by and buying them yourself, especially as you get a lovely large slice for the price. A worthwhile stop, I guarantee.

What an incredible find, all by chance ! Who would expect to find Portuguese snacks from a bakery called Norfolk Bakery in Cambridge ? It had famous Portuguese snacks, such as pasteis de nata and pasteis the bacalhau and a few rissois, all tasted authentic and at very reasonable prices. Even the charming serving young lady was from Oporto. There was a small area with tables at the back of the shop, but we took our snacks to have them in the adjacent Botanic Garden.

Thought I’d get a snack before heading to my co-working space and had seen this when it was closed the day before. Was greeted very kindly and attentively, and the spinach and ricotta parcel was DELICIOUS. Reasonable prices, too. Next time I’m sitting in!

Best pastel de nata in town :D Creamy and generously sized.Apple tart and beef mushroom roll also tastes fabulous. One day I’ll try all the lovely baked goods.Flat white was alright, but it would be strange to eat pastries without sipping coffee.—-Stopped by for a nata to-go to ease the stress from the chaotic train disruptions. Perhaps there will be less trikes if everyone gets a nata from work…

Nice local bakery that serves not only bread but also sweet buns, pies and salty specialties from Portugal. Very nice service, good prices and worth a stop.

We were tempted in by the window display and had to wait a little while to be served for a takeaway order, as they were quite busy. My daughter enjoyed the chocolate donut, though it was very expensive. I had a Nutella and pecan cookie, which was more like a brownie, but tasted of very bland. The coconut macaroon was okay, but nothing like ones I've tried in the past from elsewhere. All in all, an expensive impulse treat that was disappointing and I'm unlikely to go back.
