Incredibly overpriced. £14* for a shawarma is actually crazy. Inside I expected at least a lot of food for what I paid, but nope. We shared it for dinner and it wasn't going to fill even one of us up.Just reminding myself never to return with this review!*Edit: sorry it is a generous £13.99 for a mixed shawarma. Apologies for misrepresenting the prices at this joint!

It tasted delicious, I had the chicken shawarma with cheese. I would not recommend this for one person, too fulfilling and too heavy. But the taste was amazing, need a little more seasoning on the chicken and a little more juice, but it was still amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to have a big lunch while im the city centre

This place is the best! Great food and great service! We went after a night out. We were on vacation and they were so kind and the food was amazing we went back and got more! I love the mixed shawarma wrap

I know what good Mediterranean food tastes like since I am a big fan of it and visit loads of places here in the UK and in the Middle East.This place is strange. Bread is kurdish, which they make quite poor. Shawarma is a mixture of turkish kurdish and Lebanese.No taste whatsoever. Meat quality was OK.Sauces. Garlic is average Lebanese Thom, and chilli sauce is more like Indian takeaway sauce

It was my first visit to Hajar restaurant, but I will never repeat it. I ordered 3 shawarma meals and asked the seller not to put vegetables with the chicken shawrma, but I was surprised when I received the order. He brought me 3 sandwiches, not meals, and put vegetables with the chicken shawarma and put ground chickpeas with the meat shawarma even though I asked him for tahini sauce. I was shocked and when I told him that I ordered a shawarma meal and not just a sandwich, he told me that I should say I want chips with it. You are not in Syria??? The worst shawarma experience in Britain

The rate based on slow service during lunch time (13 minutes waiting for a wrap because one person was working), expensive ( photo for lamb shawarma that includes about 100 grams for £7.5- first bite into empty nan) and taste of meat ( chew and tasteless). Also the hygiene in the toilet was substandard ( photo for fan in the toilet). I would not go there
