Wirral Riding Centre

Great experience for my daughters' first riding lesson. Staff is very friendly over the phone. Easy to book online. The lesson was great! Ashley was very nice, upbeat and taught my eldest how to trot. They had a wonderful time!

Went to see my granddaughter and her horse. Very nice place, clean and tidy.

First time back after a few years out - I had the best time and have already booked my next lesson when I got home. The staff are so helpful and approachable. The stables are so well kept and the horses have fantastic characters.Don’t hesitate to look further for another riding school, I looked at loads and so glad I went here in the end.

Brilliant place, have been going for about a year, doing group lessons weekly. Easily the best place I have been. Its absolutely great!

One of the young people I care for attends here on the alternative provision course, she comes home after each session and tells us how much she loves the place. She has come so far with her riding and horse care and its all down to the fantastic staff in particular Chrissy" who Maria loves and says she is "an absolute legend"Thanks for all you do."

My daughter who’s 9 has been going for a few months now with her grandma. Today me and my mum got the chance to take her and she was on her fave horse with a new instructor Ash, and I have to say he was completely unbelievable, he corrected her in a friendly way with banter saying things like “sort those heels out woman” which I absolutely loved as that’s how I talk to her at home. He wanted to take her down the lane for a walk but Lil had a little wobble due to her severe separation anxiety and he took it in his stride and she actually WENT! This from a little girl who is terrified of leaving her comfort zone especially me, her mama. I just want anyone thinking of getting their child into riding that I couldn’t fault WRC and Ash. Everyone was ever so friendly and the yard was busy with other lessons, people mucking out and tacking up, I feel like we’re properly part of the WRC family and can’t thank them enough for bringing Lil’s confidence out, Ash you’ve really made my day, thank you for being so kind, patient and generally lovely to my baby.

Disgusting riding school, sell horses illegally, treat them horribly. Wouldn’t ever recommend such a vile place to take any child to. Shouldn’t even be a place what’s up and running.

Unfortunately we had to leave this horse riding place as everytime we went, my daughter was given the last horse available. One that either couldn't do much or one that wasn't appropriate for her. One week they tried putting her on a ex race horse that was way too big!A horse bolted off with my daughter on it and he wouldn't stop which scared my daughter but then they tried to put her on him again 2 weeks later!!They don't care about what horse is given to the rider, all they cared about was the money and stopping dot on when the time was over. Even if they started 10 mins late, they never go over but still charged the full price.You can never get the same horse every week or the horse you want and not always promised the same instructor either.My daughter was there a long time but didn't progress in anything so now we've gone to a different, better place.

Where do I even begin? Wirral is easily the most welcoming and friendly yard on the Wirral. Amazing service, amazing people and amazing horses. Wirral really assisted me after having a confidence knock on Whiskey but after 7 months and many lessons with Diane, full of tears and joy, I am jumping confidently! I can't thank the people at Wirral enough, especially Diane and Murphy, Ash and Lottie, and Becky and Elvis.The yard is easily the highlight of my week, and I love coming to a place were I feel right at home. I can't wait to see how much I progress at this yard, thank you so so much.

My daughter comes here and it really is a lovely riding centre, all staff and instructors really friendly and helpful and she’s progressed really well. Horses are great and she loves every minute spent here.
