It is one of the most tranquil places for anyone wishing to visit one of the many Sikh Temples in Leicester. The best part is that this temple, like all others, is happy to feed the homeless. Part of Sikhism is to ensure everyone is fed and eat together as equals. As long as people adhere to the basics, there are no shoes inside, cover your hair, and make sure there is no alcohol, or tobacco with you, or that you are intoxicated.

I have experienced couple of unpleasant experiences here due to langer staff very rude as i got shouted at just because i didn't know where to put my thal for washing and another time me and my autistic kid was made to feel unwelcome and got harsh response from a sevadar telling me i don't know how to look after my kid and said he doesn't care about his mental condition. Also there is a lot of corruption within the committee, so it has put me off donation to this gurdwara.

Very beautiful Gurdwara. Nice and peaceful and a real community feel. Lots of space inside with on site history exhibition. Also has a day centre. Large car park is situated one street away on Nottingham Street which belongs to the Gurdwara.
