Bolsterstone Castle
This one is really up there as one of my favourite castles. It’s a shame the adjoining shop has now closed down but it’s still worth the trip out. Will definitely be returning.

I really like to imagine history and how people lived, thought and behaved. One of the best places to imagine that is at the bolsterstone castle.We went into all the exhibits, climbed the walls and talked to the very impressive guards / guides.From the bus stop, turn right to reach the castle of bolderstone

Not much there. A full made up story of a castle yet it was a Manor house and the remains that were small, we covered over due to health and safety. Not much else to tell. The castle Inn in the village was OK.

Visited for a day out with kids. Such a beautiful place to visit. The cafe is really well priced. Great for pictures but would recommend going midweek as was too busy on a Saturday
