Trains may not come very often but you have a great view over the valley and the town.

Train are hardly ever on time and are often cancelled!

A nice conveniently located train station, went to Manchester Piccadilly trains seem to run around once an hour. Clean enough station and there is sometimes a ticket office to get tickets. Overall a nice station.

A local railway station that benefitted from a great refurbishment in the late 2000s, it's very clean and has covered waiting areas on both platforms. Trains run hourly off peak to Piccadilly and Huddersfield (a handful of which continue to Leeds and Hull). Parking in the immediate area is somewhat limited but the nearby Rugby League Club has its large car park available throughout the week (2-3 mins walk).Disabled access from the Yorkshire-bound platform is sadly non existent but that's not anything unusual, unfortunately, at small stations like this. All trains at the moment as of 2022 are run by Trans Pennine Express (Having been run by Northern for many years prior to 2018).

Lovely views, friendly folks and an acceptable number of pubs.
