(This is for Pen Yen in White City House)First time at the White City residency for Soho Farmhouse’s Pen Yen restaurant.Here’s what I liked:• Warm, welcoming reception along with excellent, attentive service• Decent menu size. Neither too long or short.• All the tastiest items you’d expect on a Japanese menu.• Highly recommend the Black Cod, Salmon Teriyaki, Tempura Prawns, Ebi ten maki and Japanese Wagyu Beef Strip the latter of which I’m told was excellent (I don’t eat meat)• Fantastic atmosphere on the 8th floor. I recommend sitting in the pit instead of the upper fringes.What I didn’t like:• Price point a tad higher than necessary• Underwhelmed by the Liu Sha Bao. Too small and were fried. Would or rather should be larger and steamed.• Sashimi was a little chunkier than I’d like it to have beenDo I recommend going? YESWill I go again? YESWas it good value? NOPrice point: $$$Overall another great dining experience and look forward to going again soon.

Tasty sushi and sharing plates. The crispy duck salad and ebi ten maki are a must have. Always a great stop at the Farmhouse.

Pretty mediocre and expensive Asian food. The sushi rolls were super poorly made and fell apart, which is something I’ve never experienced before. Beef tataki was also pretty mediocre. Sea bass was a bit better but overall of all the restaurants at Soho Farmhouse, this is the worst one. Would not recommend

Overpriced and tasteless sushi. Not worth it. Staff were oblivious to things. We observed them carrying food whilst sauce spilt over customer’s bags. They dropped things and didn’t bother checking for broken pieces.

Food was delicious and service was fantastic. Thank you Angela for taking the time to give us fantastic recommendations - everything was amazing!!!Honestly loved everything! You should follow this order!- Chilli Garlic Edamame- Miso Peppers- Sriracha Cauliflower- Tempura Prawns- Duck Salad- Beef Tataki- Ebi Ten Maki- kimchi Fried Rice- Vegetable Maki- Matcha Tiramisu- Mochi (passion fruit and Caramel)Bottle of Pinot Noir.Winner!

It is good, but I got served raw chicken and as it's so dark it was hard to tell so had a bite. Only when I turn on the torch could I see how raw it was. They took it back and cooked it again but the shine had worn off then. Sushi is nice.

Our favourite regular haunt. Always great service from diligent and helpful staff. A fairly regularly changing menu ensures that variety is kept up, and an excellent drinks menu, although we are quite consistent with our ordering!

Had a lovely lunch here, close the the door water and nice open space. Delicious food as always. Missed the dumplings tho
