Fabulous family spot for a picnic and a play in the river. We spent about an hour here enjoying the sunshine. The children played in the shallow river after we ate our picnic.There’s lots of parking but you might have to search or wait for a space. It’s a lovely environment to chill out.

Lovely little area for kids to play and people to walk dogs. A little river for the kids to paddle in when its low. A cafe nearby for takeout drinks and food or bring a picnic. The Buck over the road if you fancy a beer.

Low Green in Great Ayton is a popular picnic spot in summer, lovely position by the River Leven, good spot for dog walking and close to local coffee shops.

Nice quaint area to relax as a small family. Gets fairly busy during the summer and when the weather is fine, but almost always a patch of grass. Car parking spaces are less easily come by though, so get their early or find alternative parking.

A delightful spot for a cup of coffee at the end of a walk to Roseberry Topping.A little Egret fishing in the river capped off a fantastic day.
