New York Nails

Had a set of acrylic nail extensions done, terrible quality. One nail broke off within a day and another 2 broke off within another 2 days. Cost £30 for less than a days wear. Would not recommend. Also the atmosphere in the place sucks, the staff don't speak to you at all. Go to Lola Rose or Elle hair & beauty instead. Similar prices, quality nails, friendly staff, & a free cup of tea.

I think this salon is fantastic and the staff are really nice. My nails are always done lovely, i would highly recommend it.

Had a set of acrylics done and thought they were great. Lasted 3 weeks .Went back for infill but 2 of them started coming away from my nails. Went back for another infill, a good few ladies waiting for them to open as it was 21st dec. The staff turned up at 10.15. had my nails filed down, was then waiting in the queue for the infills, the guy just up and walked out half way through doing a customer. After half hour there was still no one. A lady asked what was happening and the girl was very rude, said he had to go to sort a problem out and she didn't know when someone would be there, could be 15 mins could be 2 hours. Customers not happy so she shouted at us saying just go" and pointed to the door. With that I upped and left as there was 5 before me. I don't know what time someone eventually turned up. But the shop was empty. Won't be going back. You could have cut the atmosphere each time also."

They are the best in Bangor. They always do my nails perfectly. Also they are extremely friendly. Jane Mercer

Set of acrylics done today. Staff where friendly and done their best to talk to you even if English wasn't their 1st language. Yes, they did chat to each other in their own tongue while working but wouldn't you?Quick and a reasonable job . Happy enough for £20

I wasn't here recently but a few months ago. I went in to have gel nail polish removed and wasn't impressed. There were 3 men and a lady. The men couldn't communicate as English wasn't their first language. All communication through the lady. I was told by several friends that removal should cost approximately £5. This place charged me £8. But of a rip off in my opinion.

This place is fab the staff are funny and welcoming and your not kept waiting hrs not a great pic as I'm in the car but they are a great job

got a full set of acrylics and the shape was nice but when they were filing my skin started bleeding, now when i wash my hands they sting very bad and very sensitive and sore. don’t go here aha. also very uneven

Did use this place for a while, but honestly, wouldn’t go near it! The staff are downright rude, Chat away to each other in their native tongue, the products they use are cheap and inferior, probably all from China! Once l asked for a soak off, my hands were put in a Kellogg’s Buzz Liteyear bowl, the cuticle oil they use is from the £1 shop!! Once getting acrylic on the guy doing it was in fowl form, it wasn’t working out and aggressively wiped it off them took the buffer to it and practically went through to my nail bed, l said to him, you really hurt me! He didn’t even apologise! I changed my nail technician after that! She said said to me on my first visit, that my nails were waifer thin and in a really bad state!
