I went here just to nip and grab some bits and bobs for my own birds, ended up having a great experience chatting to the owner who was very knowledgeable and plenty of birds/fish avaliable. Highly enjoyable experience only issue is that I would say it was a shame the shop was small.

Do not go in this shop for fish the pH and ammonia levels when a person that works their tested them in front of me they were not the right levels for the fish that were in the tanks most of our fish have died a day after getting them from their and one of the workers got a pleco out of a tank for me and two hours later the pleco was dead and the shop is never clean and there is wires all over and one off the workers allways smells of swet and there has been dead fish in there tanks when I have been in getting fish from there so don't go no where near to this shop to get fish as they will die a day or two laterLikeAnswer

If you are looking for pet supplies or a few animals then this is the pet shop for you, from Axolotls & and fish, to birds & rabbits, very fair prices and animals are really well looked after. Polite manours and always had a happy smile at checkout.100% recommend

This shop has been standing since before I was born or near enough when I was born, been coming to Place4Pets for years and can honestly say it's my most favourite place to go in terms of caring for my animals alongside having in depth conversations with owners in regards to said pets, they're always friendly, approachable and so loving towards the animals in their ownership I can't not recommend a visit for those who may need general bits or maybe even some advice from time to time.Staff are more than qualified to help with most questions and if they're unable to I can guarantee you'll be pointed in the right direction to solve any problems you may encounter, fair prices, amazing business and I hope this business outlives myself and generations to come as I hold it so close personallyKeep doing what you're doing guys, you're nothing but wonderful and your service is always appreciated

First of all i would just like to say how dirty the shop is. Needs a good clean!! Then secondly i purchased about 20 Fish from here last week and about 7 of them have died. Nothing to do with my tank or water as i have kept fish for a long time and have never had a problem like this before. None of the existing fish i had have died, just the new ones i have recently bought. I would avoid buying fish from here unless you want to be fishing out dead ones nearly everyday!

I phoned the store about buying a few items and they were rather ABRUPTI said I would pop in tomorrow and they said that the shop will be CLOSED on Sunday's but they state on the website that they are open on SUNDAYS so I think they need to UPDATE their website information ASAP and also learn to be POLITE to POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS.I would NEVER use this shop and I would NOT recommend them.I thought the saying is THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT

I booked my dog in for her anal glands to be emptied and a bath. Upon arrival I was told we were not expected so they took her and put her in a cage and I had to leave her and go home after being told I could wait with her. When I arrived back at the shop they advised they were just drying her off and when asked if they had emptied her anal glands (AS SHE GETS VERY ILL WHEN THEY BECOME INFECTED) was told that they had been done. Back home she smelled like she had been out in the rain and sprayed with some manky deoderant, a few days later she was still showing signs of full glands so I took her to the vet who emptied FULL anal sacks. I visited the store to advise them of this and am still waiting for a phone call from the 'manager'. All I can say is thankyou for caring about animals more than money!
