We have stayed here 3 times now and love the site the main attraction for us is the friendliness of the place both staff and caravan owners.First time we have toured and not been anywhere else.Touring site could do with a little freshen up .Toilets and showers always clean we will definitely be visiting again

Do not have a seasonal caravan pitch at Daleview Holiday Park in Middleton in Teesdale. Your pitch size will be decreased without prior consultation or your knowledge and when you request to have your pitch returned to its original size you will be told by the owner to speak to his partner as she deals with that and then she will ignore your request. Also despite always paying your fees on time and in full, sometimes paying too much and having to have this refunded, you will be asked to leave. Supposedly for immediate improvements to be made to the site but then when asked it's so other people can take the pitch as we don't spend enough money in the pub on site.My boyfriend has done work for them for free so we were invested and looking forward to the improvements. As for spending money in the pub, as a family we were homeless for almost 4 months earlier this year and living in a hotel so the want to socialise somewhere where you could feel the forced politeness from management was not high. Also this year has been a hard one financially due to a new baby and an unplanned house move, supporting our children was our number one priority not drinking and eating in their pub. It was never stated when taking the pitch that we must use the site facilities or face removal.I'm also not sure of the size of other people's touring caravans but unfortunately ours isn't big enough to house a standard travel cot so staying the night with a baby would be impossible at his young age.As a family we'd been looking forward to holidaying on site as we have done there over many years when the new season starts and the baby is hopefully big enough to sleep in a bed. We'd arranged with family from around the country to meet and holiday together but we'll now take our business to another, surely less dilapidated site in the beautiful village.

booked pitches last minute for camping and the owner was very accommodating in ensuring we could all fit. When we arrived we were put in a nice little private area which was great as there were a lot of us. we didn't go in the club house as there were a lot of kids with us who are quite miserable f not in bed n time but it looked spot on and the entertainment looked good. The facilities were ok but probably could do with a little updating, I could see the owners were making changes constantly so I would think although they were absolutely fine, may be something they will work on.there is a kids play park which is ideal, however found it very strange than an older couple pitched their tent up pretty much under the park, this made me feel a little uncomfortable with my kids playing near their tent etc.their are chickens roaming around the site which is great for the kids to look at.Above our tent pitches was some kind of tree that blew little 'fluffy fairies' all over with the slight bit of wind and sun. the air was thick of them and so was the tents - this is the only thing I would say was a bit annoying as we could prepare food out without it getting covered. All round good siteAll around decent site.

After a days walking along the Pennine Way this was an oasis!Only camped for one night prior to returning home. The manager was welcoming and very helpful. All the facilities were there that a hiker required. Hot shower, clean toilets and a laundry. The camping field was away from these facilities but you cannot have everything! There was bar that also served simple but tasty meals at a reasonable price. The caravan park was only ten minutes walking time from the town which had other attractions!

Don't Bother! The owner states it is because they didn't give a full refund - if facilities were good they wouldn't have been asked for one.H&S - Your showers are scolding to the point adults could not shower comfortably never mind children! The £3 a go washer had to be fixed before usage and then £6 of your £2 dryer tokens only got 1/2 a load dry!! Your playground was H&S questionable and your camp field had no drainage (we had 5 children with us and the thunderstorm flooded the field and our tents), also it was behind a recycling facility with trucks coming and going constantly... On entering your site it is a tip - sort the falling down building on view and the welcome we got was less than welcoming to say the least - they demand cash payment up front... no doubt they have had unhappy customers before!Your worker in the bar was polite but you tried to say you wouldn't refund as you could have taken more bookings... there were 2 parties in the whole camp field max the entire time!!! - if you had been polite and kind you would have given us a full refund... you were not and only offered partial refund which even then we chose to take! All hence my original Don't bother" review - which you then challenged so I thought I would be 100% clear and thus expanded here...If you want good reviews - sort your site out and learn about customer service."
