Port Van Hire

Someone driving a Port Van Hire van hit my car without telling us, we found out through cctv and my dash cam, knew who it was but unfortunately no number plate picked up as it was night time. Got in touch with the company the next morning to let them know and they said they don’t want to go through insurance and to sort it out privately. They have told us several times that they would send the money over but every time we have phoned back, there is a different reason as to why it’s not been paid.We are unable to go through insurance due to them not giving us the number plate because they have no record of what van it is, despite knowing who was driving it.We have spoken to Sean, Mark and Louise and they keep saying one of the others will send over the money but it never happens.So I’m now down over £400 for parking my car outside my own house.I have never hired one of their vans so can’t say much for that but if this is how they deal with people, I wouldn’t want to use them

Today we would have tried to rent a car for our move. We went to the office but no one was there, we tried to reach them by phone but they did not answer.We left a Google review and the company called us, threatening to take down our review urgently! They were at dinner at 2:30 p.m. There was no sign that they were on break or close.Outrageous that they called and abused us to forcing to take that review down.

Used these guys a few times now, always receive excellent service. They're always clean, reliable, reasonably priced and super efficient. Would highly recommend, thanks again and will most likely be seeing you soon.

Hired van for weekend as moving house. Got there because someone wanted it for the week they gave them the hire.DO NOT USEJust do it’s clear about below - the van was not offered at same price and I needed that size van due to restrictions. The company got a bigger offer for the van and chose to rent it out. They first claimed I had no booking until I showed them the email. No deposit was asked for as I would have happily paid a deposit.

Just use the van hire for once but don't look nowhere else if in need .Best service in the area. Strongly recommended.

Used for a 1 day van hire whilst moving house. Hired a Luton box van. No trouble, vehicle was clean and in a reasonable condition. Good price.

The worst company ever. Wish I could put zero stars!First attempt to hire a van they weren’t even there for it to be collected. Second time I sent an enquiry on their website didn’t even gets response! Never use this company!

Fabulous. They gave me a tail gate van at no extra cost and told me I could keep the van from Friday till Monday, again at no extra cost. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I have recommended this company to friends.
