I have had the pleasure of working with Tom Maxwell on several occasions but this is the latest media unit Tom designed and built for my client. The work he did was superb and our meetings with the myself and my client were both concise and easy to understand especially for the client. The material used were laminate and American Black Walnut which are beautiful to work with and gave my client exactly what he required - I look forward to many more project where Tom and I can work together going forward

Tom and his team created a media wall for our lounge. From the design stage through to the build we have been really impressed by the outstanding professionalism and quality, both of the workmanship and materials selected. Tom and Stonehouse Fireplaces worked closely together to ensure the selected fire integrated beautifully into the wall. It was a pleasure doing business with both and we would 100% recommend them for further work.

Tom has gone above and beyond to create a bespoke bench and storage unit for our kitchen. Tom was patient with us throughout the process, despite all our adjustments and changes, instead he reassured us there to take our time and that it was necessary to get the right design. We never felt rushed to make decisions and Tom gave us honest advice to ensure we got the best design we could. Tom visited us a number of times at home to go through designs, wood styles etc which was brilliant and we really felt the benefit of having in person discussions. Tom was meticulous at ensuring the design matched the rest of our kitchen. I am so pleased we decided to work with Tom, it was important for us to use a local business and work with someone who really has an eye for detail and is skilled beyond measure! Thank you!

Truly excellent service with incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail.Tom & the team fitted a built-in desk with drawers and a cupboard unit. The design process was slick, with excellent communication via the customer portal, the price, drawings etc. were all visible and amended and they graciously updated the drawings multiples times after I changed my mind. The real point however is the quality of the finish, the fittings are excellent, the materials are spot on, and the care and attention to detail by the team throughout was exemplary - even down to profiling the various section to fit the curve of the walls.Highly highly recommended!

I am soooo thrilled with my kitchen booth and shelves Tom made for me.He turned by child like drawing into a masterpiece.It was a joy to work with Tom and I have hugh respect for his talent.Look what he did!

We needed to change the layout of one side of our kitchen but were happy with the other three sides which had good quality units. Unfortunately these were no longer in production so we gave Tom the challenge of producing the new units to match the existing ones as closely as possible.He did a brilliant job. Friends and family have also been most impressed by the results. The quality of the work and attention to detail was superb. Both Tom and Ed, his workshop manager, are perfectionists. Ed, who did the installation, clearly has a passion for his work and enjoyed the challenge. He and his assistants were incredibly hard working, considerate and a pleasure to have in our home.Tom also has contacts he can call in for other skills as needed and at short notice if unexpected problems arise. Those involved with our project also did excellent work.Though the price might seem a little high it was not vastly more than the good quality ready made units we had looked at but which wouldn’t have matched. The extra was well worth the cost, having the advantage of making maximum use of the available space with individually made units.We highly recommend the company, especially for any non-standard work.

Tom and his colleagues built a fitted cabinet and floating shelves into a dining room alcove.Following the initial enquiry Tom gave us a broad range of material options and talked us through the benefits and give budget prices for each option to help us make an informed choice.We found Tom to be competitive when compared to other local suppliers, but his main appeal was the time he took to talk to us to gain an understanding of our specific requirements from the view of design as well as budget.Tom was able to work with our bespoke layout requirements and took site measurements to verify dimensions.Tom uses a web based portal that allowed us to view 3D images of the detailed design giving us an opportunity to comment at each stage so that the final design was precisely in line with our requirements.Tom's fitters were polite, clean, trustworthy and efficient.We're very pleased with the end product and we would certainly recommend Tom to anyone else.

We did a lot of research prior to choosing to work with Tom Maxwell and his team as we wanted something high end and bespoke for two rooms in our house. We definitely made the right decision - Tom is extremely passionate, precise, helpful and a real expert. From the initial telephone conversation through to the workshop visit and design process, he was patient, came up with lots of suggestions and ideas and gave us confidence we would be getting two super pieces of fitted shelving furniture. We loved the portal as a way of seeing the designs, tracking progress and getting real visibility on the cost of the two projects. Very flexible and easy to do business with. When it came to the installation his team were equally professional, very respectful of our house and our other time commitments. All work was done with minimal disruption, exactly to timelines agreed and most importantly was of a truly excellent standard. Overall a great experience for us and we are delighted with the finished products. Would definitely recommend and will also be following up with future requests for work. I particularly liked that I was informed at every stage of the process and although I made several changes before the final sign off, nothing was too much trouble.Ed and Jason who fitted the cabinets are meticulous, they took great care, a real credit to the company. I have used Tom Maxwell now for three significant projects over the past 12 months, a custom built 4.5 meter gin cabinet, a customer built 3.5 meter bar and a matching fully racked wine room. All three projects were created, constructed and delivered to the highest possible standards. I found their organization reliable and they lived up to all their promises along the journey, it was a delight to work with them.The quality of their work and the materials used was of the highest standards, these projects weren't cheap but then traditional craftsmen's workmanship and excellent quality doesn't come cheap.I would have no hesitation in recommending Tom Maxwell if you are looking for a unique piece of furniture or a special project completing.
