Buttermarket Car Park
Secure indoor parking with barriers. Special rate after a certain time in evening. Very convenient for town. Cost as much to park as it would a return on the bus. Spaces can be tight unless you have Noddy's car, which I do.

Token style car park, which always think are easier to lose than a traditional ticket. Prices aren't great but you're paying for location and you couldn't be more central. As others have said, it can be quite cramped.

Better than Cambridge for parking and has clean toilets, spaces are never very big at these type of places but could be worse. Prices are reasonable

It's a car park!!The issue we had was that although we're a registered disabled blue badge holder vehicle, we were not able to use the disabled bays as they were all blocked off (coned) by the shop mobility people. We visited the car park in the evening when the shops were closed so I'm unsure as to why the bays were still unaccesible?I'm guessing, though, that you have to register your vehicle and possibly pay extra to gain access to them.Maybe after registering, you get your parking session for free, but this is not the case for unregistered vehicles, its full fare for disabled driver vehicles.

Crazy busy on a Saturday and super overpriced. I didn't mind paying £6.20 for 4 hours as it was raining (I'd usually find a more reasonably priced car park, or just park for free and walk in). However I got stung last weekend. One of the pay machines was out of order so I had to wait in a queue to pay, even then it took ages to accept payment. Ended up going 6 minutes over because of this which cost another £3!

I visited Ipswich with my daughter today and parked at at the buttermarket car park. I had an incident in the car park that left us both stressed and anxious, however, the amazing staff that were working this afternoon took the time to help us, reassure us and ensure that that other customers weren’t impacted. I cant say how grateful we were, it made our day. We went on to have a lovely day in Ipswitch and will definitely visit again because of the actions of the staff in the Buttermarket car park, THANK YOU SO MUCH

I always park here but it's definitely overpriced and they have now started charging for late night stays which doesn't surprise me. There are always spots here so it's a reliable place to park and never had any problems.

As a shopmobility client I always use this car park. Today is the first time I have used the parking on a Sunday so parked in Shopmobility spot again but then found out shopmobility was closed. As the car park was full and there were no other disabled spaces available I left the car with blue badges up in one of the empty shopmobility spaces. I’m surprised that the row of disabled spaces is coned off for shopmobility clients only when the service is closed. Surely the row of disabled bays should be made available to blue badge holders on a Sunday (especially during the festive season!)

Terrible car park. Overcharged me for my stay (thankfully my bank refunded the overcharge), most of the blue badge spaces are always coned off (for shopmobility), and spaces are far too small, and the payment machines haven't worked properly both times I've been recently.
