About the Business
Restoration | Ryrie’s is one of Edinburgh’s oldest public houses occupying a central position at Haymarket. A Listed Historic Building, it is noted for its fine baronial details, Scottish renaissance style wooden pub front, leaded and stained glass windows and fine detailed carved bar gantry. It is independently owned and an entirely free house, specialising in real ale and the best that Scotland produces.

Ryrie’s Bar
This is a rough and ready pub. A proper boozer. I suspect many of it's inhabitants are en route to and from Haymarket railway station after a business day in Scotland's capital.They have a good selection of beers and real ales from a variety of breweries.The bar staff were great and let me taste a few ales before settling on one I liked.

Disclaimer:They only serve frozen food!Mostly a drinking place. Chill and laid back vibes. We were starving to had to order.The bathroom is beautiful!!! Can go for a drink with friends and watch a match.

Trad bar sensitively looked after. Beer very real ale and session bias. A breathtaking whisky list. Nice vibe. Friendly staff.

Great pub with a welcoming interior. Outside there are plenty of seats available but I would definitely recommend to go inside.The food on the other hand is not worth mentioning. It's rather pricy and OK at most. Can't recommend for pub feed. The snacks were quite good but the burgers were a huge disappointment!

Nice local pub that also serves food. I've been past Ryrie's Bar many times and always thought how interesting it looked from the outside and wished I had time to visit. Well, today was the day, and I wasn't disappointed. The bar is in an old railway building and is quite small inside, but it wasn't too crowded on a Saturday afternoon. There is a decent selection of beers and also a food menu - I can recommend the haggis balls... The staff were also friendly and helpful. Ryrie's Bar is only a few meters from Haymarket station, and the tram stops outside, so no problem finding it.

Been a long time since I'd visited Ryries, but I'm glad I did.Beer was excellent, although it's not the cheapest, but the staff are very friendly and seem genuinely pleased to see you.It's handy for Haymarket Station - it has a station departure screen in the bar - so you can time your train. Won't leave it so long next time.Edit: spelling.
