It is a Sainsbury's with car parking to the front of store. There is a cafe inside and it has a bureau de charge as well. There is a petrol station but it is behind the store you have to drive around to it.The store is not massive but not express size either.

Great selection of food, although they do have worst toilets I’ve ever seen…. no paper, broken flush, human waste on the floor and walls as well as having no soap. Doesn’t leave you looking forward to eating what you bought.

I was very impressed they have this large middle eastern, asian spices. To my knowledge no other supermarket has a big a section as this. I was only looking for this as i was cooking 'kawkswe' Burmeese chicken noodle soup, which needed gram flour for the right concistency

To be fair this is the greatest place I have ever been to in my life. I try to visit every day, I just love it, I would give give 5 stars but they banned me for stealing pants, which I didn't do

The huge potholes in the main entry and exit of Sainsburys Stroud have been there for far too long. The fact that Sainsburys have not rectified the issue simply goes to show what we all already know- it’s profit over people, money over morals, every single time. Typical big business mentality.

I was in Stroud and with time in hand at 0930, so decided to buy a breakfast in the Sainsbury’s Café.The cafe itself was clean, though pretty soulless. The menu wasn’t vast, but how many choices can be put to breakfast?I opted for the “All day breakfast” at £5.25 (“2 rashes of bacon, 2 sausages, fried egg, hash-brown, mushroom, tomatoes, baked beans & toastThe staff were accommodating enough to let me substitute the tomatoes & beans for a second egg.10 minutes and my plate was brought it to the table. Now don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t expecting a culinarily masterpiece by Heston Blumenthal, but the dried up plate of food that was put in front of me… well in 20 years military service I was served with more appetising food from ration packs while on exercise. The first thing I noticed were the eggs. Dried, hard and rubbery. The bacon seemed welded into one pink slab and the sausages looked like they had spent the past four hours on the lowest shelf of the oven. The one processed hash brown was like a piece of chipboard and the mushroom (yep, one solitary 3cm disk of matter)… for years I’ve been under the impression that you can neither under, nor over cook a mushroom. I now know that it IS possible. A dried porcini fungus would have been more palatable! On the positive side, the toast was done to perfection and “buttered” before serving & the coffee, whilst not as hot as I would have preferred was pretty good. All in all, I’m guessing that the majority of the items served to me at 0945 were probably cooked at 0700.Did I complain at the time? I’m English, of course I didn’t!Would I go back again? Nope.

They have CLOSED the cafe. It was lovely to have a drink and meal but now it is just like any tiger supermarket, so I will not bother going here again.

The Superstore is as good as any other ones. Found all I needed, well maintained etc but the checkouts were only x 2 open with at least 3-4 customers in queue. When I finally made it to the checkout, the cashier was chewing a gum and was looking very bored and unhappy. It was not my problem if she had a bad day or she’s not happy in her job. I’ve worked in retail and hospitality before and her behaviour is not really acceptable. She should have been stacking the shelves rather than assisting the customers.

Pharmacy has closed. Deli counter, fresh meat and fresh fish counters all gone. Clothes/ household sections good. Fresh flowers good.Shelves fairly well filled and range of goods is adequate. Unable to do my full week’s shop there so fighting the awkward car park layout isn’t worth the hassle.
