It is rare that I have a positive experience when visiting this surgery. The only reason we haven't changed to another one is because we are in the middle of a move and may need to find one in our new catchment. Some of the reception staff are very rude and obnoxious. One or two are friendly and helpful. I am sure the rules on booking appointments change to suit whoever is answering the phone. Its usually ring on the morning for an appointment but occaisonally if you get someone nice they will try to book you in the next day if possible if that day is full, otherwise its an all out war to be next in the queue for someone to answer the phone at half 8 in the morning and if you don't get in you have to do this every morning until there is something available that day. Really helpful for working people. Most of the doctors are ok but again one or two are terrible and have a bad attitude. I know doctors don't know absolutely everything and they are only human but I at least expect someone to be friendly and make you feel at ease.

Terrible experience, was spoken to like I'm a piece of **** over phone. Doctor wouldnt give me an face to face appointment due to covid. Really even though it's Dec 2021. Even after i said i had suicide feelings, she dismissed me.I will be changing surgery's. Think doctors have to stop using the COVID excuse and do what they are getting paid to do. Thought they had been told they have to open their doors again???Imagine there will be a lot of people who are suffering due to their bone idle laziness.

I'm getting absolutely fed up of the receptionists asking for personal information when you book for an appointment. This info is confidential and I don't appreciate a non medical office Clark making the decision on whether or not I need to speak to a doctor. You didn't go to medical school, it's none of your business why I want to see a doctor, just do your job and book appointments.

I give the nurses 10/10, the jabs for covid ran like clock work. I have little to say about drs as not been allowed to speak or see one in 12monthes. I need pills for severe pain from Sciatica, only allowed weekly, on several occasions i received them 3 days over that time leaving me in agony.I have left this surgery and joined the Eden group on Port rd. My pills were delivered through my door within 2 days of ordering them. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My dad has just become a patient of spencer st surgery having left the dreadful fusehill surgery, and he says that his experience with Spencer st has been brilliant because they are very helpful.

My experience of using this surgery is excellent. If you ring early enough it's invariably possible to be seen the same day. I have recently had a condition that worsened after the first appointment and Dr Burnett was marvellous at speeding the process along with the hospital for which I was very grateful.

I was extremely feeling really bad in the waiting room, and my dad called me and asked how i was doing. The receptionist pointed at me and waved her finger as a sign of telling me to go outside. Absolutely ridiciously rude and no manners at all. Its a health care place dont tell me 2 go outside with ur fingers. Nhs dont except rudeness so its okay to me rude to me. GP absolutely unhelpful neither.

I've had only positive experiences with this surgery. I actually moved from a rival practice because it would take weeks to get an appointment. Convenient online service, helpful staff, and a very handy satellite branch in currock. My children are with the same surgery and have been seen on the same day when they've had any medical issues.I know through experience how poor other surgeries are in Carlisle and in my opinion this is the best. They do not do inaccurate phone consultations like the mega practice in Carlisle.
