Went to St. Margaret's Park after ages, and was pleasantly surprised to see a new cafe had opened....just what the park needed. I'm so glad I went in, the brownie and ice cream are so luxuriously delicious and the guys serving are so lovely! Hope you're there for many years to come!

Didn’t even realise this cafe existed but it was lovely.I had a hot chocolate and a slice of the huge rocky road (clearly in a chocolatey mood!) and both were delicious. We sat at one of the outside tables. The service was quick. It’s also nice to be able to go to the museum upstairs too.Would recommend as was very tasty and in a cute quiet spot.

Limited menu but what they do have, they do well. Lovely building and a great archive/museum on upper floor which is worth a visit in itself. Service was great and the cakes are out of this world!

Dog Friendly inside a park cafe. Lovely coffee and food. Had a bacon roll and pesto with ham croissant, both excellent. Fair prices and nice staff. Worth a visit.

The Dower House Café
A well kept secret by local dog owners and families with children that enjoy here refreshments after a walk in St. Margaret’s Park (see photo). This is a tiny cafe with stone floors on the ground floor of a 16th century house, (see photo) in the park there is a plaque remembering the Corstorphine witch hunt (see photo)! But the atmosphere in the cafe’ is friendly and cozy (see photo).I had an excellent Chai tea and a vegan-gluten free carrot cake (see photos). The icing was soft and airy, the cake was moist and not too sweet and the orange accents were perfect. If this gluten-free vegan cake was so good, I cannot imaging how good would have been the sponge cake with cardamom and pistachio icing…

This little place is amazing, the staff are so nice they even bring your order outside for you and the price is reasonable as well. Lovely bespoke place with a great atmosphere.
