Vets4Pets - Castleford

Staff were lovely, I was seen to pretty quickly. The staff seeing my kitten was covering from another place so wasn't sure on some of the services available, but it was explained by the counter staff.The treats available were too big for my kitten, but that was not expected to begin with, when she's bigger I'm sure she'll be very excited to see a treat while she's there!

It was an absolutely horrific experience! Never again. The receptionist was extremely rude, short answers, unpleasant. Not something you would expect when you come to seek for help with a poorly animal. It was clear that the vet wanted to quickly get rid of you and instead of giving full explanation of the treatment they just say to read the leaflet. But nothing beats the receptionist who had no people skills whatsoever and was clearly in the wrong job!

Fairly new to the puppy world again, so I probably ask silly questions but I’m never made to feel stupid and I’m always given as much information as possible to make me feel comfortable and at ease. I’m still learning and very grateful the staff are always happy to assist. Dory appreciates the treats at reception also!

Needed to see a vet in an emergency situation this morning, offered to register at Castleford branch so we could have our dog treated, went through all the symptoms on the phone only to be told “sorry we can’t see your dog as you’re not registered with us”!!! Where’s your duty of care???? After reading some reviews, maybe it was a good thing!

Have taken our French Bulldog for the last 2 years since he was a puppy, and have him registered on the health plan here. Always treat him brilliant and very friendly staff. They were excellent and very caring when he was bitten rather badly by another dog last year.

The vet I saw was so caring and lovely. She explained everything to me really well and showed so much affection to my cat who was terrified. She even have him some treats to help bring him round. I’ve only just recently registered with this vets and I’m so glad I did.

I took my dog to have a sore paw treated and was told that the cream I needed was out of stock and that I would have to call back.I rang later asking for the name of the cream with the intention of purchasing it from another vet. After the receptionist had spoken to the vet I was told to call into the practice as they had managed to miraculously find some cream that they didn't have an hour ago, except it wasn't cream I was given to treat my dogs paw I was given a bottle ear drops to treat ear mites and was expected to hand over £25. Obviously I wasn't going to put ear drops on my dogs paw so I took my dog another vet to be treated, I received a letter a couple of days later stating not to bring my dog back. I truly would not trust these people with your pets, this company have a reputation for kicking your dogs..

The vet Veronica was so compassionate and patient with my dog. I genuinely felt like she cared about my pets health and how he was feeling. She gave me good advice and was amazing when doing a health check on my dog. Can’t thank Veronica enough amazing vet!!

I've had to sit and wait before I wrote this but I will tell everyone this issue I've had with vets4pets again1st 2019 in Selby put my dog under to be spade then after they put her under did an examination and said we can't cut her open of she would bleed to death because she was having a phantom please keep in mind I asked why the night before her teets were wet I was told it was fine nothing to worry about2nd 2021 Leeds Castleford Barnsley my dog fell very unwell I paid thousands to get her well again and the way the creature at the vets4pets animal hospital was vile at best I was short on my bill £200 and was told my dog wouldn't receive any more treatment until the bill was settled in full the total amount between midnight Saturday and Thursday was eye wateringly high on the Thursday I said I'm now going to struggle paying any more and as if by magic my dog was ready to collect3 Castleford dog had a sore on her front right had pad the vet made out I needed an operation to find out if it was cancer I was heart broken turns out it turned into a scab fell off no problem any more ( your dogs can't disagree with what's the vets are telling you )4 I was told it may be best to have my dog put to sleep before her back went by vets4pets in Leicester and while I was away fast forward 11 months with care love I've now got a dog that's living a happy active life because I refuse to believe what I was being told as the vets constantly contradicted themselves back in Castleford5 6 7 I'd like to tell everyone about the fiasco regarding controlled medication my dog takes twice now my script have been wrong and had to cancel going on holiday because medication hadn't turned up this time I was told I could happy come and buy more medication because of there errors yet againNever again a formal complaint if going in to the governing body the list is endless
