Flair Windows: Double Glazing Sutton Coldfield

Flair Retail Lichfield supplied and fitted a new stable door at the rear of our house with consummate efficiency. The process started off extremely well in that they manufacture and fit PVC stable doors unlike a lot of their competitors. The subsequent site survey was quickly arranged, with the sales person being knowledgeable and helpful in providing the quote. Once the quote was accepted, a final site survey was quickly arranged and the installation followed within two weeks. The installation team were diligent in their work, being both fast and clean, leaving the workspace clean and tidy.I cannot recommend them enough.

After seeing what a great job Flair did for our neighbours, we asked Flair for a quote for our windows and they did a fab job. Everyone turned up on time, everyone was polite and helpful and tidied up afterwards and they did a great job. Even when we had a query afterwards they came out and resolved this within 24 hours. I'd definitely use Flair again.

The exterior looked brochure-perfect, the interior left a lot to be desired.Flair fitted our new front door and we’ve no concerns about the process. However, having successfully ‘completed’ the fitting, we were left with an interior surround to the door which simply wasn’t finished.In removing original Victorian architrave around the door frame, this exposed a 4” gap, which was part-filled with insulating foam but then left damaged plasterwork and fixings exposed to the interior of our home. The ‘carefully’ removed Victorian architrave was not replaced, nor any other form of finishing applied.In querying this with the company, they referred me to Clause 5.5 of their Contract which basically provides them with no liability whatsoever for ‘matching any interior or exterior finishes’ nor ‘repair or replacement of any wood or brickwork found to be defective during the . . . installation’.Although there was nothing ‘defective’ about the original door surround, we tussled over email – and several photos and video later, the Company agreed to finish the job (within the contracted price) and we are now happy to apply the interior finishes with a bit of Polyfilla and a coat or two of paint, as anticipated, to provide us with the outcome we expected.Lessons learnt on both sides, I think, and satisfactorily resolved - but be wary of Clause 5.5 and don’t assume that ‘careful removal’ of original fittings implies that they’ll be re-instated.

I have been a regular customer for over 10 years.My latest addition was installed today and looks fab. The only drawback is the sealant/quality of application. A few missed places and a few smudged ones. The smell is very strong and we kept the window open for the duration of the day. They should really consider using a different product.The installars need to use overshoes.My oldest window developed condensation just after 10 years and require replacement. So they do last just over 10 years.Lady in booking department is very friendly.
