The Braes Guest House
Just had a wonderful 5-night stay here with family for mine and my brothers birthday! Hosts Marjory and Willie went above and beyond to ensure our stay was superb. Felt like friends by the end. Our three rooms were very well appointed, beds comfy and en suites met all our needs. Excellent Covid standards also made our stay feel super safe. Couldn't have had a better holiday, and can't wait to visit again xXx

A brilliant guest house with warm and welcoming hosts. We were given tips for the local area and the hosts managed to get us a table in a local restaurant and even dropped us off there!The rooms were tidy and clean, with some comfy beds and hot showers. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and of a good variety. I’ll be back here if I’m ever in this part of the world again

I stayed here for a couple of nights in a very small room back in 2015. While the owner is a very nice guy and everything is clean, my bed was rock hard. I had to cover the bed in blankets from the wardrobe and it was still difficult to get a nights rest. Breakfast was okay. Bike shelter was a bonus. An small meal or anything would have been nice as I did ask and I had travelled 9 hours solid on a Triumph Daytona 955i. Places shut at 10pm and I arrived at 9pm.So, no, I wouldn't stay here again really.

Awesome home and hosts. Very friendly, couldn’t do enough for me. Very modern and clean. Loved it going back soon. Views to die for and very close to all you need in the area. 10/10

A very warm welcome awaits at the Braes. Very well appointed rooms and use of a comfortable lounge with cracking views. Super breakfast. Faultless service.

The Braes Guest House
We stayed here for one night. Rooms are big and have good beds. Shower and other facilities are very good too. Freshly prepared Scottish breakfast was very tasty too! Although the hosts were very friendly, we somehow didn't feel very welcome as guests. Maybe it's due to the way of communicating, but I can't really put my finger on it. We both had the same feeling when leaving the premises. Maybe it's just us, as others don't seem to agree, judging by the ratings.
