Home for Hounds Dog Daycare

Kathy and home for hounds looked after my dog Alfie at the last minute for more or less a full week. He had a ball, and spent the week walking, socialising with other dogs,which he loves and lots of swimming. He even spent the nights with Kathy and was spoiled rotten. I was afraid he wouldn't want to come home! I couldn't thank Kathy and home for hounds enough for their kindness and flexibility. I would definitely recommend it to all and will make sure take Alfie there for a 'holiday' again!

Home for Hounds is the best environment and experience you can give your dog. Kathy and her team look after your dog so well, taking the dogs out to wonderful walks where they enjoy just being dogs, running, swimming and playing. I have complete peace of mind that Murphy is safe, happy and well exercised when at Home for Hounds. It really is the best.

My dog, Dougal, literally squeals with excitement when he arrives at Home for Hounds! I have absolute confidence in their ability to look after the dogs in their care and the dogs get lots of lovely exercise in a range of places. Dougal first went when he was only 14 weeks old and Kathy and her team were really great about adapting to his needs as a little puppy. Kathy has also been great at adapting to my slightly awkward working hours! I have nothing negative to say!Would recommend them wholeheartedly.

I cannot recommend Home for Hounds highly enough! I have been bringing my doggo, to their daycare for over a year now and she absolutely loves it. She used to be quite nervous around other dogs and new people, but the friendly staff have done an amazing job helping bring her out of her shell. She now struts into daycare wagging her tail, confident and ready to play.The team here goes above and beyond and they've shown incredible flexibility to accommodate my variable work schedule. It always brings a smile to my face to see the great pictures they post after walks and play sessions.Most importantly, I know my dog is safe and in good hands at Home for Hounds. Their experienced staff truly care about the dogs under their supervision. They make sure the environment supports healthy socialisation and exercise. My cockapoo Molly has been going to Home for Hounds since she was 16 weeks old. She is my first dog and the advice Kathy and her team have given me has been invaluable. They go to a variety of places each day, beach, woods or the moor where they get an amazing run out with other lovely dogs. Molly comes back tired and content. Superb doggy day care. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I want to thank home for hounds for everything they’ve done for Ozzy. It breaks my heart that we are moving away and Oz cannot go anymore. The difference we’ve seen in him since he’s been going is amazing, he is now great off his lead and much better around other dogs while on walks.. no more running off to jump on anyone he can see.Not only has home for hounds helped Ozzy but back in December I was due to give birth. Since having no family down in Devon to take care of Ozzy the girls couldn’t help enough. They opened up early for him and happily looked after him at short notice. I received pictures throughout the day which made me feel a lot more comfortable.I am truly saddened that Ozzy cannot go anymore but without a doubt I would recommend home for hounds to anyone who wants their babies (dogs) to be in safe hands.

Amazing day care for dogs and very friendly staff, we see all the photos of their walks which always look so much fun. Our pup always comes back clean too! I highly recommend home for hounds!

Very disappointed with the couple of girls I passed today in Bellever Forest from Homes for Hounds. They had 10 or more dogs between them, all off lead, except 1, and were worrying a group of 4 ponies, chasing them around and barking at them. This is one firm I would not recommend or use for sure.

Our girls (Rosie, a Dalmatian; and Bella, a Ridgeback) went to Home for Hounds for 24 hours or so while we were in Exeter for business. They had a wonderful time and Kathy could not have been for helpful. I suspect, just like kids do, they were on their best behaviour; and they were tired out when I picked them up - so they were certainly involved and entertained.I would really recommend this service to any dog owners requiring an overnight or day care, whether often or occasionally.
