This is one of our favourite local restaurants. We are very lucky to live down the road from this gem. I've been here many times, and today was a spur of the moment visit. Landed on the first day of the festive menu, and why not have the works! Friendly, welcoming, and efficient staff with open fires to top off the festive experience. Every course was as expected and delivered perfectly on traditional flavours and more...

What sets this place apart is their ever changing menu. Every Time we visit there's something new and exciting to try. So far, every dish we've sampled has been consistently excellent and we've never left disappointed. Maybe an area for improvement could be the presentation of the dishes. While the food is delicious, the visual appeal of the plates could be further enhanced. Overall I highly recommend this place and we will surely return soon :)

My visit was a week after mother's day (not silly).3 gen. Treat for mum mum, wife mum & daughter mum for Sunday lunch which was very good quality: thanks chef.Liked staff attention who were always there when you needed them. Trusted recommendation, and will return even though not local

We only eat at this restaurant, pub when we are visiting friends , family. Daniel head of house is excellent at his job, looks after all his guests, staff are very attentive, Lovely Libby served us on our last visit, happy in her job role. Food is excellent.

We visited the Crown for the first time in quite sometime and ordered a meal off the Christmas fayre Menu.From the menu we ordered as starters the Mushrooms and Butternut Squash and goat cheese tart , both were very enjoyable, whilst not accompanied by anything.The mains were Turkey dinner and Braised Blade of Beef, the main meals were somewhat small but tasty.The 2 courses came to £27 pp, adding a dessert was an extra £4.Overall nice experience , could just do with increasing portion sizes.

Food was OK (we didn't have a starter) the staff looked a little inexperienced but were coping well enough (it was very busy) The chairs were dirty (lots of crumbs, hair etc). The Xmas hats on each table were a nice touch. Wasn't overpriced.

Amazing pub with lovely staff....dropped on them as a finishing line to a 100km run. Extremely accommodating to a crowd that were buzzing with kids and dogs...I will return for an evening again and highly recommend....the pub, the beer, the food, not the ultra marathon!!!

A new restaurant for me, I popped in to meet a friend for a lovely lunch catch-up. Plenty of parking accros the road.Friendly and welcoming staff on arrival.Not a huge menu, but good selection. We had good service and the food was hot and tasty.

Fabulous pub/restaurant. Had an amazing meal here. Great value for the price, the food was so tasty and enjoyable. The restaurant is bright, light, and we'll appointed. The menu is big enough to give you enough choice but small enough to give you the confidence that it's all freshly cooked and we'll thought out. We will definitely be going back!
