Brockwell Pups

We have been taking our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to Brockwell Pups for about 2 years now. The trims have always been a bit up and down with him always coming home with a different cut in spite of the same instructions- none off the top, trim of the ears/legs and cut the undercarriage. Sometimes they don’t take much off and other times they cut his ears and legs very very short. However, this time they cut the top of his hair in spite of saying not to, which for our dog we have never ever cut in order to maintain his long glossy hair (even something advised by them on the first visit!). When I went to pick him up and said that they shouldn’t have cut the top because we didn’t want that - firstly, they tried to tell me we’d asked for it, secondly, they then said ‘well we think he looks nice’ and then finally when I said I was unhappy because he never gets the cut we ask for when we come and that I wouldn’t come back she said ‘well I hope you don’t make mistakes in your job’. Then after getting home and looking at the coat properly, the cutting is very poorly done with jagged scissor lines all over his back, his ears are uneven and also has long strands that have been missed. Overall, I would count the ears as a mistake, the jagged scissors lines as poor workmanship and giving the wrong cut as not listening to your client’s requests (not a mistake). Worst of all I had to pay full price (£45) for a cut I didn’t want and don’t like at all.

We put one star because we can't put zero, on my last visit my dog was left in terrible condition. The back was not fully cut the grooming was not what we asked for even after our previous indications, the front paw nails were cute but the back ones weren't, i specifically asked for my dog's fur not to be cut since she had no notts and when I picked her up she had bald spots and was cut more in some places than others VERY DISAPOINTED !

I have been taking my 3 year old Maltese to Brockwell since he was a puppy and have always found the staff to be so welcoming, friendly and helpful. They have given advice on tear stains which are common for this breed as well as advice on keeping him knot free etc. I am always so pleased with his grooms and he always smells amazing after. Whenever I visit, the dogs that are being groomed always seem so calm here which goes to show how well they are looked after during their time at this groomers, I wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else! Thank you so much to the lovely staff at Brockwell.

Amazing service! They are lifesavers as our dog is extremely hairy and we don't have enough time to brush him often enough.

Thank you so much! We took our little Bruce in for a wash and cut. He hasnt been to the groomer in many years as he is usually groomed at home but due to changes in our situation we decided to try Brockwell pups. We were very nervous about leaving him as he's a nervous little chap but they made us feel very reassured and had him ready really quickly which was great. We were very happy with the service and he looks so handsome now! Thank you very much

My rescue dog has always struggled with groomers but finally I have found a groomer where the staff are experts. She looks absolutely incredible and they make her feel happy and calm. Very kind, good people who are amazing at what they do. Worth every single penny.

Such an amazing experience going here! My pup wouldn't let me anywhere near his nails, but somehow the team at Brockwell Pups are able to do them to a super high standard, and also so that he seems to enjoy it! They're super kind and compassionate, and create a really nice environment for the dogs. Would 1000% recommend :)
