I’ve been training with Ian at Fitforit for over a year, and week on week the training sessions continue to be a brilliant experience. I was looking very specifically for ‘strength for runners’ type training, and Ian has been fantastic in designing sessions that are absolutely focused on this requirement, and that are challenging in the right way. I’ve seen really clear progress in what we’re achieving week on week, sometimes surprising myself in what I’m able to get done in workouts now versus where I was a year ago. Ian and the Fitforit team are immensely knowledgeable and professional, and the atmosphere in the gym could not be more supportive and good humoured. I always come away feeling so glad I’ve spent time there!

Been going to Fitforit for about a year and a half now and love it. During that time I've been able to build strength, fitness and confidence in how to get my way around a gym.I originally had gone in with the intention of doing a couple of blocks but it's been such a good experience that I've just kept extending. Working with Ian has been great, he's super knowledgeable and a good laugh. He's helped me understand more about my diet, goals and build a confidence to keep adding more weight! Such a friendly place - highly recommended

I came to Fitforit looking to make a lifestyle change, encompassing diet and exercise.Rob's tailored and supportive style, coupled with his extensive knowledge of nutrition and training have given me the tools needed to develop a sense of agency over my approach to diet and exercise. This was really important to me when taking the step to work with a PT.Each session has been a consolidation and step-up from the week before, providing me with a challenge, as well as new things to take away and develop on my own.I'm really pleased with the results and am excited about the different directions I can take my training going forward working with Rob.Thanks Rob!

Personal trainers here with an unlikely venue for a gym. Kitted out in a double shop front. All the equipment that’s needed is here. Thomas the PT knows his stuff and makes you work while engaging humour. Great combination and looking forward to results. Highly recommended.

I've had a brilliant experience with my personal trainer, Hannah, at Fitforit. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable about tailoring workouts to meet my specific needs, but her friendly and supportive nature makes each session a really fun and enjoyable experience, even for someone like me who used to dread working out.It's refreshing how she keeps things interesting by introducing varied exercises and her flexibility in scheduling ensures that finding a suitable time for our sessions feels collaborative and convenient.The Fitforit gym itself creates a really welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The friendly environment adds to the overall positive experience, making it a place where I genuinely feel at ease while working towards my fitness goals.

I have been going to fitforit for a good few months now. Though I have trained before, I had lost my confidence and fitness over the course of the last few years during the pandemic and felt a little bit lost and struggled to get my motivation back. As a women just turned 60, I needed someone who could not just train me, but help me push through and see the bigger picture for me and keep the faith when I repeatedly lost it for myself. Emma has done just that. She has not only trained me in exercises, but she has brought her whole person into my training in a manner where I feel she really invests in her clients. Not only is Emma supe knowledgeable, but she clearly has a genuine interest in you as a client, she reads her clients well and brings an excitement to your training that is contagious. I absolutely love our training sessions and can't see myself ever not being there.

I have been going for nearly a couple months now and really enjoying the new routine in my life. I find it really interesting and my PT Ian is so knowledgeable about health and fitness from the technical to then practical things and always is willing to offer great advice for me. I am glad to have started this new routine and I would recommend Fitforit to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, supportive and friendly PT. Always has great music playing in the studio too which makes it easier!

I was told 2 years ago that I needed to start regular strength training to avoid developing osteoporosis. I found gyms very intimidating places and I was clueless when I first started training with Emma. Emma’s sense of humour, extreme patience and creative training plans have kept me engaged, challenged and motivated. Fit4it is a fun and inclusive environment, and all the PTs have a genuine interest in helping everyone they work with progress their abilities and build their confidence.

If you are on the fence about getting a PT, just do it. And when you do it (and it will be the best decision you make for your physical and mental health), I cannot recommend Fitforit more, and in particular, Ian Adamson.I started as a relative rookie, having been a member of different gyms over the years, but never really knowing what to do when I was there and therefore getting no real benefit, never mind any enjoyment. Fast forward to today, I consistently go 4 times a week, and actually look forward to it, thanks to Ian's structured programmes. The knowledge I have learned from Ian will serve me for life and I cannot be more grateful for it.The best thing for me has been the acceptance of real life when it comes to training. And what I mean by that is having a PT that understands that life isn't always straightforward and things can come up. Ian does exactly that with no judgement and no expectation of militant discipline when it comes to kcal intake or gym sessions completed throughout the week. Many people may be put off getting a PT for fear of repercussions of bad days or missed sessions - this is absolutely not the environment when training with Ian or wider Fitforit. Instead, you will learn habits to last a lifetime, not merely quick wins to get you to unrealistic or unhealthy targets.My first session with Ian I was struggling to deadlift an Argos 7kg barbell with 10kg of plates (my makeshift lockdown gym) - my last session with Ian, I was comfortably deadlifting 250kg. The same can be said of every other muscle group - what I would have considered to be unrealistic I have achieved all thanks to the coaching from Ian - consistency is key and that is what you will learn from him. My physique changes are immense too. Be it my posture, my significantly reduced waistline and chest, the fact my knees don't constantly hurt any more, the fact that I could start running again - I am indebted to Ian's training programme for making this all happen.Mentally as well - the anxiety of going into a gym and not knowing what to do, or how to do it - completely gone, again, thanks to the coaching from Ian.My life is exponentially better all round thanks to Ian and Fitforit. Choose life, choose Fitforit, choose Ian Adamson.
