A wonderful experience shopping for 2 proms dresses for daughters. We appreciated Leanne’s suggestions on styles and colours and were pleasantly surprised ( and relieved!) to leave the shop with 2 beautiful prom dresses within 45mins! Will definitely return for future special attire.

I visited York for the first time over the weekend and happened to wander into Molly Browns, after seeing a gorgeous dress in the window. Inside I met the store manager, Fiona, who was an absolute joy to talk to, and during our conversation, she offered for me to try on some dresses upstairs, which I gratefully accepted. Upstairs I was seen to by a lovely young lady called Megan, who was incredibly attentive, and picked out dresses which were flattering on me in both shape and colour. Some way through my impromptu appointment, I discovered that it was Megan’s first day, but otherwise I never would have known. Both Fiona and Megan are a credit to Molly Browns, and I would recommend anyone visit if they want to be treated like a princess!

What a fabulous green, long, velvet, figure-hugging evening dress I bought from Molly Brown's. I tried on many evening dresses/gowns, all of which were really beautiful and the fit was so good in most of them (just a couple of alterations and the fit would have been perfect in all). I struggled choosing the one! Beth, who assisted me with finding the right dress, was wonderful and most helpful. I felt very well looked after and relaxed. This boutique has so many gorgeous evening dresses/gowns, including wedding dresses, and I shall definitely be visiting them again for my next special dresses! Big love for Molly Brown's!

I called into Molly Browns in Stonegate, York, today to look for ideas for outfits for my sons’ wedding. I was not expecting to buy as I was rather apprehensive, having no real idea what I wanted. However Fiona was lovely, she was very helpful and put me at ease straightaway. She helped me try a range of different styles until I found a lovely dress which fitted perfectly and made me feel great. I was very unsure about a hat but Fiona helped me with that too. I now have an outfit I can’t wait to wear at the wedding.! Thank you Fiona, you made a daunting purchase much easier than I imagined. I will recommend Molly Browns to anyone looking for something special.

I was looking for mother of the bride outfit and felt apprehensive about my appointment but I needn’t of worried as Carole guided me through with lots of choice with amazing hats and offered helpful comments along the way.We narrowed it down to 3 outfits, went away for lunch to review photos and then returned having made a decision.I am delighted and can highly recommend Molly BrownsThank you so much Carole your a ⭐️ xx

With no appointment we entered Molly Browns Bridalwear my sister and I …not realising we needed an appointment to quickly look if we liked the style/look of anything ..On entering we were not greeted as the two staff members were at the back talking …when we eventually had to go over to them …we explained we were looking for a mother of the groom outfit …Big mistake…We were asked “do you have an appointment “…. But not in a friendly manner….”it’s just we have a client with an appointment in 10 mins “10 mins would of been long enough just to look …and ten minutes would of been enough to quickly glance over the available outfits…I understand that if you have an appointment system and you are with a client that’s understandable…but we were ushered out of the ship faster than a scene from “Pretty Woman”…..My sister bought an outfit costing a pretty penny that day from a York store that fell over themselves to help….Maybe you should revue your staff training policies and greet clients with an appointment or without an appointment with a little more equal respect….we visited your casualwear shop nearby and the girl on the counter could not be bothered to even move from her stool to greet us”big mistake…huge mistake “

An amazing experience; I went in looking for a dress for my sisters wedding. All staff were super helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a wedding outfit or special dress. Will definitely be returning.
