Thanks Hermione for a lovely cat cake! Hermione was very responsive to all my messages and produced the cake according to the brief.The cake was delicious and still fresh despite being made 48 hours beforehand. Everyone at the party remarked on it!Thank you x

Such a sad experience. I received a cake from this baker that my husband bought. He was so embarrassed when he gave me the cake... and I could immediately see why. Every year he buys me a fondant cake for my birthday with a simplistic, but thoughtful design (as he’s a simple man, like many, not as good at explaining things, which is why he gives a basic idea and buys from a professional). This year was much different. This took simple to an elementary level, as an adult receiving a cake with only edible child-like graphics, a pink bow and really no thought or effort put into the design was really sad. I understand the words plain and simple - you can still make “plain very beautiful

I commissioned an autumn theme cake from Hermione for my birthday. It was excellent! The design was gorgeous and exactly how I wanted it, plus the cake tasted great! Hermione was very responsive and helpful. Will definitely be ordering from her again.

Disappointed in £70 cake - see photos. I was very excited to gift my wife a cake for her birthday. Hermione was responsive, even after I had received my order, but the experience left me disappointed and compelled me to leave a review.To preface this, I’m not a baker and I have little/no experience baking and decorating cakes. 
Whilst I concede that I had asked for a plain cake with decoration, I feel that this interpretation took that instruction to the extreme and the finished quality did not meet my expectations and the price.The decorations were not thought out, poorly attached, and the use of cocktail sticks did not add to the look and feel I had hoped for. The back of the cake was bare. In addition, there was barely any filling or buttercream inside the cake.I immediately contacted Hermione and I was repeatedly told “no refund policy”, something never mentioned prior to purchase. I offered to return the cake, too embarrassed to present it to my wife as a birthday gift. Throughout multiple messages I was never offered a partial refund, an update to the decoration or any solution to my disappointment.I would encourage anyone looking to purchase, specifically a fondant cake, to view the photos of the cake I received as I didn’t feel the end result was worth £70 - and I feel others would agree!

My first order placed with Hermione’s Cakes for a wonderful cake and was not disappointed, had the lemon sponge and it tasted amazing.Hermione responded to my messages very efficiently and even though I changed my preferred design after placing order, she was happy to oblige, would definitely recommend.

Hermione made a fantastic custom train-themed rainbow cake, with all vegan ingredients for our son's birthday party. The cake was beautiful and everyone loved it. No photos to hand as we ate it all up super-quick!

Could not recommend Hermione enough! Every cake that we have ordered has been not only well priced and exceeded all expectations, but has tasted amazing!!!On top of this, she is responsive and thoroughly lovely to deal with.Highly highly recommend!

Hermione made a cake for a family event, and it was exactly what I was hoping for! She made an egg-free lemon sponge with four layers (which easily served 40-50 people). She was very responsive and clear in all our communications and followed the image I sent to the letter, so it was exactly what I had envisaged. Would definitely recommend!
