Are you taking the mick!!!I have been this this surgery for over 30 years, unfortunately the practice in the last five years-yes five years( before the pandemic),has lost its ability to service its patient needs.Doctors don't read their notes & the receptionists, one in particular doesn't know how to listen to customers. We are in mid July, and I have been informed that for a blood test I have to wait till mid August.This attitude seems to be acceptable.WHY???The four words I stated as my opening, above was taken as being rude! When the person told me That the earliest booking would be mid August.I asked a question. It was not a challenge.And even if it was a challenge, it was not rude.I await the Practice managers call.

I have been a patient at this surgery for over 40 years and can honestly say I've never had a bad experience. I've always found all the staff, including the receptionists, to be polite, professional and helpful. Yes, it's not always easy to get an appointment and you have to keep ringing, to then find that all the appointments may have gone, so you need to try again, but that's the same for every surgery nowadays. I'm glad my family attend this surgery, and we won't be going anywhere else. Thank you Neath Hill Health Centre, for your help and assistance to me and my family over the years.

I have no beef with the receptionists they are better than most. They are doing their best operate a system which is just not user friendly.:-Why do we have to ring at 8am to make an appointment for that day even if there is no urgency?If I visit the surgery I have a specific time but a phone consultation I am lucky to get told they will ring AM or PM why ? If its possible to operate the surgery on fixed appointments whats so difficult about doing the same with the phone? From experience it is in fact easier.

I really didn't want to give a negative review, but honestly, this is the worst GP practice. It's nearly impossible to get an appointment with no empathy from the staff. A really poor service all round.

A few of the doctors/nurses working here do a fantastic job though I seem to be having (and by the looks of it other people too) problems with a certain receptionist who 1. Is just plainly rude and 2. Can’t be bothered to do anything at all. I mean it’s just ridiculous calling at 8:30 to be told that all appointments are fully booked and going to the front desk to ask for something and be received with a snappy attitude.

Lovely staff but I was disappoint to find I was not able to register my daughter because I was not her mother. I feel this is a bit discriminatory and meant I had to delay things while I asked my girlfriend to find time to come and do the registration process.

There have been a few occasions where the staff have taken the mick. I was booked a blood test appointment and when I got to the appointment after taking a half day from work, they told me it was booked incorrectly and no doctor was going to see me then. So wasted my holiday from work and time going down there. I then had a pre booked appointment and was told I’d receive a phone call and the appointment time was 1:50 pm but they didn’t try calling me until gone 5 then said I didn’t answer the phone. Just tried calling at 8 am, finally got through to be told there are no appointments now and to call back again and go through the same thing tomorrow. Like people don’t have anything better to do with their times. Honestly no empathy or people skills from staff to help people for the mistakes they’ve made themselves costing people their time!

I never write bad reviews, I avoid it especially if it’s an important body like a GP but this time I must. My orthopaedics transferred me to a different one and didn’t get any call from them, to later find out after a month that my GP wasn’t allowing to pass on my data. After various calls to the GP I found that my GP needs to see me again (had to find out by myself), that’s more than fine but I can’t accept that you do not have any appointment at all, I’ve been trying to call for months. If you can’t provide me an appointment why don’t you refer me directly to the new orthopaedics since you’ve already seen me and know what’s my issue. Today I called them from 8 to get a line at 8.06, and got told that they have no appointments left. To whoever is reading this review do not just reply with thanks for your feedback but do something to improve the service as hundreds of people’s health are depending on your service. I really don’t know who to blame because I’m sure you would have taken actions, if you haven’t done so I don’t know what you are doing.It’s really unfortunate that hard workers have to handle the pressure for something they aren’t responsible for.

Cancelled my appointment twice and told the last time....oh we called. Checked when I got home and it was just before my appointment with them....well done that really works.
