Dogs Trust Darlington

I've adopted three dogs from Dog's Trust Darlington and each time the experience has been exceptional. Every member of staff is dedicated and professional and goes above and beyond to ensure each adoption is a success.

Really well organised and professional. Our beautiful lab Tansie has been with us 6 months and is doing so well.

Lovely bright and airey building. The dogs all appeared content with spacious kennel areas, cosy beds and toys. Cheery helpful staff and numerous staff/volunteers walking the dogs around the vast site.

Attended first to walk two dogs seen online. Staff were lovely, dogs were really well cared for.One of the two dogs had some behavioural issues and staff were great at letting us know all we needed to make an informed decision on if we were the best to care for her.Came back soon after to visit our new girl again, and staff were again, wonderful!Final visit we got to meet a few more of the wonderful training team and take our baby home with us, couldn't say enough good things about the center and the staff!

My girlfriend’s dog is from here and he’s a decent bloke, quite a laugh and alright manners.

It was a marvellous experience meeting our soon to be new dog Bruno. The staff were all very nice and helpful and let us stay with Bruno and our old dog Archie for quite a time, and we will be back Tuesday to pick him up and take him home.

These are amazing People and what an incredable facility they haveat Sedgeberg. Staff are super Amazing . Got my dog Zuri off them hes a cross Rhodesian Ridgeback / Boxer . What a creature he is . Brought sooo much happiness too my life .

Extremely saddened and disheartened that in spite of me having 2 dogs trust dogs that Darlington dogs trust decided not to allow me to adopt a lovely dog in need of his forever home because my collie according to them does not want another dog. They would not progress to a home visit after 4 visits as my collie didn’t interact in an environment where she was not comfortable. I now feel because of this attitude they have excluded me from having any dog from them because my collie is a people dog (as all collies are). I am so sad for both Trigger and myself that they would not consider a home visit. I have had dogs for 38 years and know my own dogs best. They welcome other dogs in my home environment. I look at Trigger’s little face and think about him being there over Christmas when he didn’t need to be. I have lost all faith and trust in dogs trust and fo not feel they have put Trigger’s best interests first. Sad ☹️

I adopted William from Dog's Trust recently. The support I had from the rehoming team was brilliant . William has settled in really well and we are happy.

We got our lurcher from the dog Trust 3 years ago, the staff were very helpful and friendly, one for the best days of my life when we bought her home from the dog Trust. Keep up the good work I think you all do a great job. (Tera dancer) say hi to you all she sends lots of doggy kisses.
