Devil's Point
Devils point is a popular local beauty spot. It boasts great views of Plymouth sound and mount edgcumbe. There are two concrete structures providing sheltered seating, tons of benches all around, lots of grass areas and a rocky foreshore that you can scramble over to get to the sea front. The car park is free for 3 hours (daytime) but you will need a ticket and free overnight. There's a cafe and restaurant close to the beach, which is a walk back from the carpark. The beach has stair way access on two sides of the artillery tower restaurant. The beach features a sandy area, a concrete/natural sea swimming pool which is shallow and a great slipway that's ideal for launching watercraft. There are some water based hazards to watch for here, large rocks in the foreshore and a row of big spines on the left hand edge of the foreshore that stretch a fair distance out to sea.If you're using watercraft here please pay attention to tides and wind, it's very easy to get caught out by the strong currents at high and low tide once you're out past the bouts.Good for access to royal William yard too.

A good local spot where you can swim in the sea or the tidal pool. There is a rocky beach, a stony beach, a view of Drakes Island and a novel tunnelled access to Royal William Yard and it’s shops, restaurants and ferry. You can even get to see the odd naval vessel coming in and out of port.

Our stay at Admiralty cottages was fantastic. A great location. Plenty of parking. Lots of cafes, restaurants and live music. Firestone bay for swimming. A great place to stay in Plymouth.

I always came here as a kid. Fantastic spot to enjoy the sea and Plymouth sound. We saw mackerel hunting white bait on the shoreline a few days ago. Amazing.

Devils Point Park, also known as Western Kings, borders the waters of Plymouth Sound and the Tamar River which form a European Marine Site, made up of a Special Area of Conservation and a Special Protection Area. Also has a direct access from the yard, via the Stairway to Devon opened in 2013 and is part of the South West Coast Path. For centuries, families have said goodbye or welcomed loved ones on Royal Navy ships heading to and from Devonport Dockyard. Today, it is a great place to relax and watch the activity on the water, watch the boats go by or enjoy its nature and wildlife.

Love this car park!- free, no restrictions- approx 20-30 min walk to centre- Spaces for all sizes of vehicles including approx 4 disabled spaces- slightly sloping especially towards the rear- fantastic views to just sit and look out to ocean, including view of drakes island, naval ships, famous lighthouse and yachts.- nice walking along the water with plentiful grass for dog- toilets, free swimming pool etc nearby- ample benches- bins for dog bags or emptying car/ picnic waste

Devil's Point
Absolutely beautiful. Went for a picnic and sat right next to the waters edge. Ap much history in one setting! Even saw an old style sailing ship go by. Only went to one spot as there is so much to see, we went blackberry and apple picking and managed to pick so much we made a pie when we got home, which was delicious. There are areas to play football, to sit and watch the boaters out on the water or just take in the stunning scenery. The tide comes in very quick, so do be careful not to get trapped and the water itself is not wheelchair accessible, but the pathways all across the top are flat and very wheelchair/ pushchair friendly. Great place for dog walking and families with children of all ages, and the parking is free, which is an added bonus.

Enjoyed an evening stroll with the wife and dog. Great little circular walk past devil’s point both starting and finishing at the Royal William Yard in Stonehouse, Plymouth. Enjoyed the sunset and views of the Tamar, Mount Edgecombe across the water, Smeaton’s Tower in the distance, and Drake’s Island.

It's a lovely place to get a bit of fresh air. Very popular. Easy access to water for a dip. A small pool. Pebble beach. Lovely views.Car park is small and it's hard to find a space. Free for 3h if via marking machine, 20p booking fee if via app.
