I am very happy with the service we received at Safestore. A special shout out to Barbara, who was very patient and helpful when answering my many numerous questions. It was very busy due to it being student moving weekend but that was to be expected. The only downside is that they only have one lift. They are old style industrial lifts with metal shutter gates, which, if anyone on another floor vacates and does not close the doors, the lift does not move.You would think this would be common sense, but not everyone does it. I had to run down to the next level a couple of times because of this. Maybe a sign to remind people would be helpful?Even so I would definitely use them again.

The staff at Safestore Self Storage could not have been more helpful, particularly Ben and Jake and Barbara. They were patient, helpful and very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them should the occasion ever arise.

This was my first experience of renting a storage unit, so i was a bit unsure of what to expect. I spoke to Ben & Barbara who asked me a few questions about what i wanted to store and what size unit i required. The whole process was made really simple and trouble free. I would recommend anybody who is unsure about renting a unit to go and have a chat with them. I am sure they will be able to sort things out for you.

Very disappointed and conned. I've used other units elsewhere and had much better experiences.After calling up and asking for a 2 week storage period, they quoted a huge price compared to other quotes so I rejected. They asked what I had been quoted elsewhere and they said they would match it and reduce by 10% which they did, then added insurance on separate which was fine. They said I had to pay 4 weeks up front but would get a refund for the days I don't use.The unit itself had a damaged roof with a large hole and drooping ceiling but they said it is safe. I had no option at that point as I was there with my items and was moving home.The real issue came when going to check out at the end of the 2 weeks. The lady at the desk was so rude and said well you haven't given your 2 weeks notice, which I was unaware of (as I've also read similar in other reviews). She said well somebody should have told you but its in the contract anyway". As I had told them at the start I only needed it for 2 weeks I argued that this was surely notice and she said no there's nothing she could do and I would have to pay an additional £15 for the extra 2 days over the 4 weeks otherwise they would chase me for it. So this was on top of the £50 I was supposed to be getting refunded. So despite the price match

Easy process to get the storage you need and very affordable. The facility are all kept in high standard. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and ready to assist at all times.

An excellent experience from start to finish. Friendly, helpful and professional staff who went above and beyond, despite a very busy period in their calendar (students moving home all at the same time). Very good value too, and we received a refund on unused days. Could not recommend this facility more highly.

Have used this place for four years in a row and have had an amazing experience each time. Everyone is so lovely and very friendly and helpful. Easy usage of the store and easy navigation to the unit. 10/10 recommend

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Going through a difficult time I needed storage and they accommodated me quickly and without fuss. The storage rooms are sufficient and secure for what I need. The storage rooms are very clean and moisture free, so no damp or smelly items. Great experience for my first time using storage.
