Tapi Carpets & Floors

Had a hall stairs and landing carpet fitted in the waterlooville area and would just like to say how happy we are the all the sales staff and Paul the fitter was brilliant.. we haven't got a straight forward stairs and Paul has done an amazing job 5 star.

Carpet ordered after some negotiating with Team and delivered to shop in a few days. Fitting followed soon after. Fitters called first thing to let me know an arrival time. Upon arrival (on time) they got to work immediately. Living and Dining room underlay and carpets fitted (and hoovered) within less than 2 hrs. Old carpets, old underlay and offcuts taken away. Top notch service for a very competitive price.

We went and bought our new stairs carpet 2 weeks ago arrived in to store nice and quick tapi also phoned to book in fitting swiftly so we spent the hottest weekend of the year getting the hall way ready for the carpet booked the day off work as so that I could be in for the carpet fitter he phoned in the morning and advised when he would arrive all good so far however when the carpet fitter arrived he asked what room the carpet was going in I advised him it was the stairs to which he replied we've already fitted a stairs carpet today we only do one a day otherwise we get to many of them he then did a bit of measuring and left. I was very confused and annoyed by this so phoned tapi and was advised they were very sorry for the confusion and they would be able to fit this in 4 weeks time as they are all booked up after a bit of time on hold they then advised they could fit in 2 weeks time by moving someone else's appointment back.

Poor, onesize fits nobody, customer service. I was advised in the portsmouth branch to go to the waterlooville branch because they had a large range of vinyl remnants but when I arrived they only had the precut 2x2m and 2x3m rolls. I had already found a remnant in Southsea that could do the room in question but I preferred this pattern and was against the clock with a valuation due on my property. I sucked up the extra cost to save the time of driving back down to southsea only to find that the second of the 2 rolls I bought was damaged on the inside of the roll due to poor rolling. I had to show my property with the floor half done! When I phoned and explained my disgruntlement all they could offer was replacement if drove the damaged goods back to them at my own cost, with no discount to account for the inconvenience or extra travel costs. I even said I would take a discount on the damaged floor and do more cuts in install to save wasting this bit but they refused. Seriously unimpressed.

Not yet ordered but so far, staff have been amazing and very helpful. Much better than some other retailers (locally) who i wont mention. Looking forward to the next steps.

Such a lovely store! The staff in there were very friendly and knowledgeable. A wide range of different floorings. The store itself was clean, bright and smelt of new carpet! Once my daughter has decided on how she wants her bedroom decorated we will be ordering from you guys!

Took a ridiculous amount of time to book someone to come and measure, who then lost the measurements, so someone else was sent out. The flooring was then not properly fitted around the doors and upon calling fact the door now doesn’t shut is apparently not their problem. Shocking customer service from start to finish

Our experience has been awfull. The first carpet the fitter turned up with was to small due to measuring up wrong. That i didn't mind its a simple mistake . Then our grey stair runner had brown stiching up each side where they had bound the edges. That annoyed me. They did redo it but it made the runner narrower by 25mm evan after i was assured it wouldnt. But the worst bit was the fitter attempting to fit our stair rods. The taperd brackets are on the wrong sides, Half of them arnt fixed back properly, also the screw heads are rounded off. The manager is sympathetic and trying to rectify this but I'm not sure any of them know what they're doing and am worried there going to cause more damage to my brand new stair case. The carpeps not particularly great either and showings signs of wear after a few weeks. To sum it up I think there's no attention to detail, and to make rectifications they do as little as they can get away with instead of doing the job the right way, everythings a compromise. And if it hadent taken them 8 weeks to complete the job I would have excersized my consumer rights have them remove the lot and go else where
