Short Bark 'n' Sides

Liquor has been coming here for years, not just to keep herself looking in top shape but for lengthy stays while I’m travelling for work. Sean and his family do a lovely job caring for her and I’ve recommended them to a fair few people and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again.

Short Bark and Sides have been my dogs groomers for some 5 years now. The service I have received has always been excellent and the price has always been £30.00 up until this year. I was told on my last visit that the fee had increased and in 5 years I think that is more than fair. Sean not only grooms my dog and her pup but also 2 others from the same litter. I would not trust anyone else with my dogs as I do Sean and Sharon.

‘We have had continued issues with you being extremely rude to our team including raising your voice, using foul language and being extremely argumentative on more than one occasion now, however we have continued to groom Bijou’ - short barks and sides.I am appalled at your accusations of me being rude and raising my voice on several occasions. I never used foul language, it’s not something I ever do. I have never even had the chance if I wanted to as you and your staff are ever so cold and miserable and don’t speak or chat. Getting a smile from you is very, very rare. I’m a very chatty and happy person but always feel an awkward silence whenever I come to groom Bijou. It felt like it was just strictly business, in and out, even my children noticed this whenever they came with me. I’m sure you know that, but of course you have have to say something like this to save your reputation, even if you lie, what a shame. Further disappointment for me but good riddance to bad vibes. Tada and good luck… you’ll need it eventually.

Sean did a brilliant job with my puppy Bailey. As a cockapoo, it can be tough to find good groomers but Sean did an even better job than I’d hoped. Great value for money and I’ll definitely be back.

I have been using Sean dog groom for years now, my last dog Poppy was quite naughty to groom bless her and in her last year had dementia. Sean always had lots of patients with her. Sadly she past away at almost 15, we now have another Shiztue who is a puppy. She has had her complimentary puppy groom, she looked lovely and smelled gorgeous and was very well looked after. Sean and his lovely wife are true animal lovers. Myself and my dogs have always been happy with grooming results, but more than that . The business is in a warm family home, so it doest feel like I'm dumping my dog at the groomers x

Sean was great! We took our old corgi in to just be cleaned up and Sean went above and beyond to make sure he looked great but was also comfortable. When it comes to old dogs they have special needs and our pooch came home looking 5 years younger and trama free.

They are so friendly and warm been taking my dog Lewis for years a person who I didn't know recommend them to me.. and honestly I've no regrets my dog always looks handsome when he comes out..Most recent is my dog Lewis had a groom for his 14th birthday Yesterday.. I'm so pleased my handsome boy.

I have used Short Nark “n” Sides for over 4 years and I am very happy with the dog sitting service provided by Sean and Sharon. I adopted Rosie, a rescued dog, in December 2015- Rosie did not have the greatest of start in life which means that she finds particularly hard to trust humans. However, Sean and Sharon have been great, both accommodating and taking time to win her over with patience and care. Nowadays, Rosie strolls into their home without hesitation in full knowledge that she has her own special spot on the sofa where she can relax, enjoy the cuddles and view. This is a family run business and one can feel the dedication and commitment to their 4-legged guests. When I travel, I don’t worry knowing that Rosie will enjoy her overnight boarding and importantly that she is in safe hands. I also receive daily updates and photos. In addition, Sean is a fantastic dog- groomer and Rosie gets a make-over every 4-6 weeks. I would not hesitate to recommend Short Nark “n” Side as a 5 stars service!
