Tolbooth Museum
Cracking little museum open at very specific times - and free. Lovely staff and a massively eclectic mixture of items. The Victorian jail for example, side by side with heated hair curlers from the 60's! But the staff and the atmosphere are the real stars. Definitely worth a visit.

If you are in Stonehaven be sure to check out this little museum. The place is absolutely amazing, full of beautiful and interesting items. Staff take up work with care and talent.There is a gift shop in the museum. There you can find ordinary souvenirs like magnets and postcards, and more unusual and beautiful ones. I would highly recommend

Visted last Friday with my two sons. The man working there was brilliant with my boys! He interacted with them so well,which was lovely to see.He made the visit 10× better. All of the things in the museum are fantastic. We will be back when we're next over from Skye.Thanks again.

It's nice place to visit. Very tiny museum but interesting and very welcoming staff.

Tolbooth Museum
It's a small interesting place, but not arranged with much thought. There is no pattern in what you're looking at, so you can read about a bunch of unrelated items that are crowded together.That said, with some proper arranging it would be nice and it seems people are very friendly and chatty, if you enjoy that.And you don't have to invest a ticket, so no loss.

Tolbooth Museum
Had a fabulous chat with the volunteers today at the museum, so many great stories and we had a good laugh. Particularly enjoyed watching the film displaying the fireball celebrations. Thanks for the work you do to keep it going :-)
