Bloody ridiculous, taken 8 years out to have my children and now I want to register again as a Dental Nurse I need to provide 50 hours of CPD. And you wonder why there is a national shortage of Dental Nurses! Safe to say I won't be returnung to Dentistry! Up your game GDC

They do not care about patients . This is the most corrupt , Unprofessional and barbaric organization you would come across in your life. besides they.act as enemies to every Dentist in the UK .They are the main reason you are struggling to see a Dentist. They are the reason why you have to wait for months to be seen . .and treated . they are corruption ,abuse and fascism in one place .Racism and prejudice is inside out in there , if you are a man or colored , be aware of that.They do not deserve any stars.Unfortunately , such organization exist in a civilized country . There is no hope in dental health care sector unless the government replace them with a new firm that protects public and help health professionals

Starting with the process of applying for ORE and finishing with the process of registration... 6 years of my life were wasted between waiting, losing hope, depression, sorrow and agony!By making the process extremely difficult and burdensome, they purposefully destroy your biggest ambitions!!All I have been through could have been avoided if I had had a sincere advice from any overseas dentist who has gone through all of this!!After all these years, I now look back and feel I have done this for no spectacular result! I had 5 day hearing at GDC and all staff at the GDC were really nice and helpful. I have read the GDC reviews and I just do not think it is a fair account. It is not helpful to call the GDC corrupt and other negative remarks.The GDC is under a strict mandatory duty to protect the public and to this effect they are doing a good job. This google platform should not be used to unfairly attack the Regulator the GDC and any such attack is an attack against the whole profession.

If you are a patient and you are struggling to find an NHS dentist, you are wondering why your dentist has moved countries or left the profession the answer is because of the GDC.These people are the most reprehensible bunch of clowns who don't accept dentists are just human beings and put down severe punishments for anything below 100% perfection.

it is ironic that GDC ,setting up standards for dental professionals while their own standards are sub-zero. there is a chaos in GDC.this is my own experience; GDC without my consent or application removed me from the list , they stopped the direct debit removed me for not paying the retention fee, I presented the evidence from the bank proving it was GDC who did it as well but still after 3 weeks nothing has happened.this is purely abuse of power from their side. unfortunately my indemnity organisation has not been able to convince GDC to reinstall me back on the list yet. I don't understand where this ANTI-DENTIST ATITUDE coming from. what is GDC without dentists?

Missed the deadline for annual registration fee and now told that I am not allowed to practice for 3 months! It is like if you miss your MOT one day and they take your driving license away for 3 months! This is absolutely bonkers! And we pay for this great service! Not even deserve one star!

Very sad you can't see or differentiate between who are genuine dentists and who are out to make money. One can be late to renew a licence due to attending to high clientele. Also you can't see who are very clean dentists, but you just suspend them. Get into the real world. My friend even recommended this dentist whom you suspended for no reason who is clean and clean once he wore his gloves he would only attend to the patient needs, very careful of hygiene. There are those dental hygienists and dentists who push chairs up and down and use same gloves hands to check the mouths of clients etc. Please get your act together. I'm in a different country and I have first hand dealt with a dentist recently who used his gloves hands to massage my neck, face and then check my teeth, yucky. You had wonderful dentists whom when I would pay a social visit at work as due to time couldn't meet them after their work, they were ultra hygienic. As waiting in the reception we could see how clean they were, never ever touched anything with same gloved hands as infections are for real.

I'll go as far as to say that perhaps ISIS (Islamic State) are arguably a less despicable organisation than these group of clowns, at least from the perspective of dentists. Despite their lack of morals and violence, at least ISIS are honest to themselves and others about their true intentions and what they believe in. These GDC jokers however conduct themselves under this false pretense that they act in the patient's best interest and regulate the profession" blah blah blah. Just look at yourselves in the mirror and admit that all you care about is pocketing money! Because at the end of the day

I was happily surprised at how fast they processed my application as received, when tracking my package from the time it was delivered to the Birmingham office, to the creation of a file number for the application. I also can understand the pressure they are under with the surge in applicants they are handling on a day to day basis. Not to mention that they are having to comb through applicants from all over the world who are graduating from many different institutions. I hope they are able to hire the support staff they need to help them manage the higher load, but am very happy with all interactions I have had with the GDC thus far.
