I give them one star they don’t take their job seriously and they don’t get back to people seeking accommodation via their Lettings could be that they have specific people they only want to assist. After several attempts for two months to book a viewing with them and several calls they never acknowledged me

We've been working with Hannah and her team since 2006. We've watched the business grow from strength to strength over the years, and having dealt with most of their customers, I can honestly say that it's down to their consistently excellent customer service, with both landlords and tenants. I'm so impressed with them that when I purchased 2 rental properties, McCartan Lettings was the only agent I considered.

I have moved from Coventry to Swansea and did not know what to do.? I contacted McCartan | Lettings & Property Management Ltd and Georgia Peters – Lettings Manager started to help me find somewhere to live. I Had a small window, as I was starting a new job within that month. I felt lost, but not for long everyone at the agency helped me find my dream apartment.One of the managers at James also done a virtual viewing of the apartment, as I could not come and view it in person. They were Helpful, friendly and went the extra Mile. Nothing was too much Trouble.Highly recommend going through this agency. Thank you so much to everybody you're all been amazing :-)

I have rented my flat through McCartan lettings for 5 years now and have been extremely happy with the service I've had. The fees were reasonable and the network of contractors used similarly fairly priced. McCartan also advised me well on the condition of the property, helping me to get a good rental price, beyond what I had previously achieved.The staff have always been very responsive and diligent in keeping me informed with any issues. This good relationship has helped to ensure minimal problems in any tenancies.Hannah herself has also always been very approachable and advised me well on general issues as a landlord and opportunities in the sector.Overall - really happy with McCartan lettings and will continue to work with them in the foreseeable future.UPDATEMcCartan have also rented a second property for me now, along with aiding me with updating my flat to improve the rental income. As with before I have been very impressed with their professionalism, knowledge and communication, and am very happy to continue my rentals through them.

My family and I recently ended our ten year relationship with McCartens.The length of our relationship has nothing to do with the service.We, for various health related and international reasons, simply stuck it out.Perhaps it is more of a testimony to our strength of heart and our character looking back.We made excuses for McCartens and looked at many things as “renters woes” until we simply couldn’t anymore.I am sure that McCartens will respond to this review, but, I’m finished with the lies and clever slide of hand.As a consumer you should have your own experience, but take these thoughts with you.Everyone is different and one bad personal experience shouldn't hang over anyone or any business.In the case of McCartens it is my opinion that one should be very careful to......1. Start as you mean to finish with McCartens.2. Document everything. Sadly, they will serve back to you every manner of excuse and displaced fault.3. And yes, I echo other reviews, be prepared to feel ineffective and bullied.4. Beware of the “crazy making” approach of which Mr. White has mastered. (Evidence by, our shed blew down in an amber alert Storm. Twice in ten years. We were up high at Gwelfor in Dunvant. So, while we awaited a new shed we put all items in our lounge/dinning room.The shed replacement was half the size of the original shed and that isn’t “like for like” Worse, no one explained what we were meant to do now with the items that would no longer fit in the shed. “Dead end”We were not once, in ten years, late on rent.(With the exception of one time we withheld rent because we were simply being ignored. This being 9 years into our relationship. We chose to play the “dead end” game right back. This encouraged contact! Following, there were minor issues sorted from years gone by. The serious issues remained ignored. Once, James White conducted the regular inspection. He admitted that incorrect items were utilised. No resolution followed. By the time we withheld rent, there were multiple things to address and oddly, McCartens found a way to blame us for that too? Very odd, crazy making approaches from James White. In the end, we simply reported issues as obligated and left the matter to be ignored. Consider this, if an inspection by James White is coinciding with your request for repair doesn't render result.... what is left?Understand also, aside from ineffectiveness, McCartens, will always find a way to blame your lifestyle rather than accept that over time things require care/upkeep.Very sadly, McCartens was aware of my son's allergies and they left us living with mould despite our reports.Now that we have left this unhealthy environment and stressful relationship with McCartens, we are truly happy.Looking back, we should have left sooner.We learned that if we communicate extensively and fulfil our rental obligations, McCartens would not respect us anymore than anyone who doesn’t.We were too nice.With regard to deposits, we read other reviews about how it is a struggle and taking months to be paid.For ourselves, it's only money.If you respect your health and well being, consider my review.Should you chose to bypass my experience and you find you have begun to connect with my experiences, stop being nice. Get out sooner than later. Warn others. I wish we had been.

My wife and I have used McCartan Lettings for the last two years to manage our property. They found a tenant extremely quickly and have been professional through what has been a very turbulent time for all involved due to Covid19. They kept us up to date with the ever changing legislation. We will definitely use them in the future.

This is a little late as we purchased our home from McCartan's almost a year ago now however I can praise them enough. We rented with McCartan for about 4 years and during that time they were brilliant, any issues were dealt with swiftly and professionally, the whole team are really polite and helpful and would always recommend them to anyone looking to rent. Really professional business and always happy to help.And on a side note Chats if you read this thank you very very much!

McCartan Lettings are probably the best Letting Agents in the area. I have known and worked with them for many years. Their service is second to none. They always look after their landlords' and tenants' best interests and provide a high quality, professional service. The staff are friendly and very efficient and you can always be assured that whatever they do, they will do it excellently. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

After having let our property privately we decided to use a letting agent moving forwards.From our first interaction Hannah, James and the whole team were always professional, efficient, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. The whole process was explained in a very easy-to-understand manner with particular emphasis on the legal side and James answered our questions in a very reassuring manner.We were very happy with the marketing of the property, especially the excellent photos and videos, the best we have ever seen from an estate or letting agent.We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly tenants were found for the property. From our side McCartan Lettings took care of everything involving tenancy agreement, legal documents, inventory, etc.We were really impressed with McCartan Lettings, we would 100% recommend them to anyone looking to rent out a property and we look forward to many years of working with them.
