What a fantastic shop! The service was brilliant and the staff are caring and knowledgeable. Mabel smelt amazing, we will definitely be back. Plus there is a fabulous choice of products, I will be adding to my wish list.

Such a lovely environment to visit, it felt like I could relax with my baby dog Goldie and have a lovely time away from home while they tender to all her needs.I highly recommend this place to all dog lovers out there that just want to ensure that their dogs are well looked after. The tag maker is such a good touch, I haven’t seen one of those in any other shops. Stock was kept up and nothing was empty on the shelves, everything was made available.The staff were friendly and knowledgeable too.Thanks for the experience, will definitely make this my local dog shopping outing

Really disappointed to be having to write a poor review but I feel it has to be done to keep other dog owners from going through the shock and upset of having their dog butchered. Took my cavapoo in for the first time and she returned home with a patchy uneven cut with no blend from head to ears. After bringing this to the (I think owners?) attention she said she could see exactly what the issue was and that she would personally check her over the next time. I wanted to give them a second chance as a small business owner myself. Once I got my dog home from her second visit, I was appalled to see large areas of BARE SKIN in large on my dog and ears that were hacked into. I am not sure if the girl who does the grooming is newly qualified but I can not understand how it has gotten worse a second time. The owner did assure me she would check her over. So either she didn’t do this or she did and saw the bald patches and didn’t tell me? I can’t decide which is more upsetting.I have been refunded for the groom but I felt i needed to share my experience so customers can make an informed decision.

Firstly, Absolutely outstanding customer service from everyone there. I bought my dog in for the first time and I’m honestly so pleased. I felt safe leaving my dog there. It was clean and such a beautiful shop! My puppy came out smelling so fresh!! And they assured me very much as my dogs only been to a groomers once before. 100% will be going back and recommend going here even if it’s too look around the place it’s such a lovely atmosphere and great services, fairly priced as-well. Gave me enough notice to come and collect my dog. I think it was Niamh that did the groom for my dog (sorry if I got it wrong)! I’ve also spoken to Natalie who is so professional and friendly. I believe there was another lady working that day who again was extremely friendly!

Came in last week for my puppy's first groom and couldn't be happier with the service. Lovely environment, friendly staff that kept him at ease and he came out looking and smelling great. Shop is also stocked with a great range of dog food and treats so Christmas is now sorted! Thank you!

Took my two little dogs here, bella for a full groom and winnie for just a wash. Natalie is so lovely, aswell as her mum and the lady that groomed bella (sorry dont know the name of the girl). Bella was groomed beautifully, and winnie smelt amazing. The shop is super cute ! They have a wide range of stuff in the shop too. Definitely would recommend !

What a fantastic addition to the area this is the most beautiful, well stocked and friendly what I can only describe as a pet spa I have ever visited. I was quite tempted to ask the lady if they offered human spa packages !!! The attention to detail of the shop itself and the grooming area is something I’ve never experienced before.I booked two of my babies in for a groom, after we had visited to purchase some new items. We were pleased to see the wide range of items and also that they stock our raw feed.So now to the groom, as I said I booked them in while I was in store for the following week for a full groom and the blueberry facial. I dropped them off with Natalie and I knew they would be in good hands.When I picked the babies up I was thrilled, they were groomed to perfection and smelt Devine they had even had a blueberry facial. As any dog owner knows trying a new groomer can be a daunting thing but I’m so pleased that I did. One thing I really liked was that you can see all the dogs being groom in grooming area. As it’s enclosed for the dogs but open for mums and dads to watch.We will be back next week for raw food and treats and be booking back in for grooms.

Lovely family run business!Natalie was great so welcoming and she did a great job grooming my dog I cant thank her enough,she made honey feel comfortable and I knew she would was in the right hands.5 star all round there is no place like house of hounds and this will now be my regular going forward.Please give them a go you won’t be disappointed x x

Wow what a beautiful addition to our community.First impressions were welcoming, friendly and full of adviceNatalie and staff know their business. And are patient andGentle with nervous fur babiesMy little one is quite nervous and a little bit vocal. But she came back to me happy and waggy tailed so I know we’ve found her pamper place from now on. I was very impressed with the amount of products to purchase for Nala and she now has her own little pamper basket at home too.I Cannot wait to return and I’m happy to say I’m sure Nala is too❤️ makes the whole experience so much more easier when your baby settles with someone instantly. That speaks volumes to meThank you so much for your kindness and caring attitude with my nervous fur baby x

What a lovely family business . I took my large labradoodle Max in for the full groom, he was groomed exactly how I requested and came out with a waggy tail. Fantastic facilities, lovely bright retail area and a great open wash room which feels light and calm. A lot of thought has gone into House of Hounds, a great addition to Petts Wood's doggie community. Thanks again to the team! See you soon.
